Dang, why did nobody tell me about this thread when it started?
So, after two weeks of cram-reading, I'm caught up, and I have a couple of silly mechanics questions.
First, it was mentioned that when a support attacker kills an enemy, they get credit for the kill. Do they also get a share of the XP, or is that going to have to wait another 10 years to happen?
Secondly, if you put a pilot who gets extra money/XP/PP on a sub-order, does the bonus activate?

This LP is fantastic, I like this style of summarizing the dialogue over Nidengard's line-by-line recaps, and I think that sometime this or next year I'll get myself a PSP so I can play the game myself.

Basically, if your opening cinematics tease something, there should be an effort to see that teasing, in my opinion.

Ever since MX's cinematic promised us team attacks between Raiden and (sigh) Raxephon and Daimos/Vikungfu/Dendoh and the game completely failed to deliver, I've never expected the cinematics to accurately reflect the game.

You shoulda had Duo take out at least once Cancer, since for some reason Deathscythe is supposed to be pretty great underwater.
Also, Haro-as-copilot basically makes them into R2-D2s.

Zambot 3, hell yes! I've loved that robot ever since SRW4, and I've kept it on my Must Deploy list in every game I've played that it showed up in. I should figure out where I put the fansub of the series so I can finish watching it.

Wasn't KG's Overskill Attack created for Z Special Disc, or am I completely off base?
Also, I like that they completely changed the Black Hole dynamic kill animation to actually show Brunhilde as opposed to Z1's version, where you could sort of almost see her if you were paying real good attention.

Speaking of BGMs, why isn't Satellite Cannon playing when it's used? That was the most interesting part of using the satcannon for me.
I've always gotten the impression that the SRW crew doesn't like X, hence why they don't do very well with it.

Honestly, if all you're doing is translating the dialogue, I'd get bored of it quickly. At that point it'd be less of a "Let's Play" than a plot rundown.

Oh boy, Gravion. The one thing I liked about Gravion in Z1 (The JAM Project theme) is apparently absent from Z2, so I guess that's a write-off for me. I kinda liked the Gran Trooper as a squad-filler, though.

I kind of prefer the way they did Mao here, just because it's much more straight forward. Unfortunately, we don't get his ridiculously sarcastic applause, which is my favorite part of Mao's character.
