Any love for Wagner? Dude created some amazing mood music in between penning his anti-semitic screeds. His vorspiel from Das Rheingold gives me chills every time I hear it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFkyAD9gS6g The link is to a clip from Malick's The New World which pairs with it rather well, but if you like it I'd recommend listening to the full (non-New World version). They're nearly identical, but The New World omitted the long sustained E-flat that builds from nowhere and is my absolute favorite part. Also I just discovered Jean Michel Jarre. Who else has been around that long and is equally amazing?

Kangra posted:I figure this might be the best place to ask — if I like Music for Programming, is there anything similar out there in terms of people producing mixes? (They always give the track listing so it's been good for finding single artists, but I really like the variety of it). Also if people haven't heard of it fans of this music will likely enjoy it. My favorite episodes are around the 20s in the series. Programming ambient?
