Here are some of my favorites that haven't already been posted:

36 - Nephyr
I can recommend checking out all of this guys stuff. Pretty much all of it is dark and melancholic ambient music of very high quality.

Circular - Calm
I've listened to a few albums by these guys, and the track that stood out the most in my ears was this one from their album "Divergent" released back in 1999.

Secede - Age Tandems
Secede is by far one of my favorite artists of all time. I could go on praising his work for pages, so I'm gonna keep it short.
This track is from his 2003 album on the now defunct Merck Records, "Bye Bye Gridlock Traffic.

Kettel - Halt Them
Kettel and Secede are long time collaborators, and they also release on the same label.
This track is from his 2006 album "My Dogan"

On a Kettel note, his album "Volleyed Iron" is more ambient than the usual IDM stuff he makes (which is nice itself).

And the tracks name is "Halt Him" :eng101: Absolutely sublime track.

Yeah, Volleyed Iron is amazing, really hoping for another full length ambient album from him in the future! And the track is actually called "Halt Them", it's an edited version of "Halt Him" released for free to promote the label (Sending Orbs) when they first launched years ago :)
