I don't really actively seek out ambient music to add to my library, but when I get an album that has ambient tracks on it, I can really appreciate it. Hopefully this thread can get me started on the genre, but I do have a contribution: Glacial 1602 by Bass Communion Half of this album (Molotov and Haze) is ambience and the other half is harsh noise, and this is the better of the two ambient tracks in my opinion.

Cerulean Crayons is a cool ambient/lo-fi project a friend of mine introduced me to. I haven't heard his first album but the second is really good, and he has download links for the full albums on the homepage

I was just looking through the top-selling vinyl releases on bandcamp and found this: Migratory Patterns by Lowercase Noises It's very nice and has set me on an ambient bender.
