Also, stay classy, Japan.

I noticed that on most Korean talk shows they will give the lady guests a cushion or a pillow to cover their laps. I'm guessing that's a courtesy to prevent unflattering camera angles?

I get most of my kpop-drama updates from this thread, which is why I brought a question: Any update on the Yoo In Na and Ji Hyun Woo relationship?

I think having a rapper in the group started with the Wonder Girls "Tell Me". I don't recall a lot of songs having a rap section before that. Tell Me was such a huge hit I wouldn't be surprised at all if groups started copying that formula.

I pulled that video up just after I made my post and I thought "drat that's a rap bridge right there." I'm sure I have personally contributed to at least a dozen of those views.

It's been a very good week for me with Orange Caramel and Secret releasing MVs. So much sax-a-ma-phone.

My husband told me his photographer friend posted on his fb that he had just heard Gangnam Style at a wedding and 2/3 of the guests knew the dance. Then another photog chimed in with a comment saying it had happened to him. Then a third photog said the same.

I am going to the wrong weddings.

There's some crazy shirt action in this SHINee dance practice video of Lucier.

Crayon Pop is the best rookie group this year. I can't emphasize this enough.

Bah, I guess I'm the only who thinks it's a big deal that Music Core is on Hulu.

Fine, have some new Secret. Talk That was just released and it's way better than their last single, in my opinion.

This is my new Strutting Song. It's kind of nice to see Zinger get singing time instead of rapping.

Is there a site or blog that identifies the clothes and accessories idols wear in MVs and variety shows? I Got A Boy got me curious about what designers tend to be represented.

A while ago it was nothing but dramas about time travel shenanigans. One drama about a theme becomes popular and everyone else has to hurry up and make a drama about the same theme.

The song and video are okay, but the dance is exactly like BEG's 'Abracadabra'. I mean I know she's the girl in the MV, but was that really a good idea, given how instrumental Gangnam Style's dance was to its success?

The way I see it, this is a response to the expectation that there will be a followup to Gangnam Style dance. The Abracadabra hip dance is sometimes called the Arrogance Dance. The MV is about Psy being an arrogant bastard. Therefore, the most arrogant bastardy thing to do is to use someone else's arrogance dance.

I love love love this TV series called Pasta (A Pasta In Love). It is a little older (circ. 2010). It has been a while since I have seen it, but I think there was only one season... Don't quote me on this, perhaps another season was made and never released in the US. If you want movies, than The Host, I Saw the Devil, and Thirst are all top of my list.

The food in Pasta looked really good, which is a big plus for me. Similarly, the cakes and pastries in Panda and Hedgehog were all pretty pro looking as well.

I have finished watching and am now re-watching Let's Eat. It's about a group of people who live alone and the love of food brings them together. The pacing of the episodes are actually tolerable and only one of the four main characters is a reverse cinderella. There are multiple foodporn scenes per episode where it's just people eating and gratuitous eating noises. I've seen some reviews complain that there are too many food scenes and they get in the way of the plot. I feel the exact opposite and I think those scenes are the highlights of every episode.
