KSAF Staff Report posted:Ahahahaha you're adorable. It is kinda true though. I mean, there was a huge, multiple page discussion about how the Hulk was a big green rape metaphor in CineD's Avengers thread.

What's with the zombie-esque Oath Breaker avatar sets? I've seen them around here and there, but I don't know what they're about. SAclopedia doesn't really help in finding out their story.

Antivehicular posted:This is an avatar in-joke and not an emoticon one, but can anyone explain the club avatars thing? I've seen a lot of avatars with characters (mostly video-game characters, but I know someone has the Slush Puppy for some reason) standing in front of a generic club background. What's the story there? It's a fighting game thing. The club is a reference to this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLFx8uY6GwY So, with that in mind, when the release of Marvel vs Capcom 3 was coming up, people started making club avatars for characters they were interested in maining, with the comment usually being an in-character statement about clubbing. And it got a decent amount of people on the bandwagon, considering.

Friend posted:What are the codes that some people have in their profiles? I know one is for AwfulYearbook.com, but what is the other one I see fairly often? A bunch of SA offshoot stuff requires you to put a code in your profile to verify that you are who you say, or link your account, or whatever. Off the top of my head, Goonwaffe (EVE Online stuff) and the PSN Goon Database are two things that require it.

KnifeWrench posted:A little of both. This helps, but I'm still curious about the name. You've never heard of razzing somebody? It's lighthearted heckling or joshing, stuff like that. I just assumed that was what it was referring to, to be used to pass off a lighthearted jibe as such. Or maybe I'm dating myself with terminology there. Ugato posted:Also he apparently tried bugging the poo poo out of goonwaffe to get an invite in EVE. Yeah, Prencleeve AKA Margaret Thatcher is omnipresent around goonwaffefleetswarm, and for years has been trying to get in. Somehow after being scammed out of tons of in game money (hundreds of bucks, that he paid for by stealing his grandmother's credit card), burning several SA accounts, and just being told in general to gently caress off, he still keeps trying. He gets in every now and again, but he's just so obvious, obnoxious, and unable to keep himself from bragging about it online that he's been rooted out within a day or two every single time.
