The hype for ME2 was incredible, and the game ended up living up to (almost) everyone's expectations, which was pretty fuckin' rad for what should have been a just a run-of-the-mill space shootymans game. Even if you count the dollars forked over to SA for smilies and avatars among the worst behavior that came of it, I think we're still ahead--Annakie's masseffectsaves.com is still up and used daily, lots of goons came together for the Mass Effect Secret Santas (MESSes), skoolmunkee drew tons of amazing art based on the series (that inspired at least one avatar purchase), and some chucklefuck even managed to host a half-assed creative writing contest based on the series. edit: aww fai don't be that way GOTTA STAY FAI has a new favorite as of 02:50 on Aug 9, 2013 |

Lots of us bought ME-inspired avs, usernames, and gang tags. gently caress, I think there were like four different gang tags floating around at one point because we couldn't come to a consensus on which one was the best. Looking back, it seems like the dorkiest poo poo ever, but it was really fun.
