Yeah uh I've played Idolmaster 2 (more than I'd like to admit) and please don't put that kind of gameplay in Yakuza. I'm not memorizing any more Japanese prefectures or playing that drat training rhythm game.

The only way this could get crazier is if Majima comes back with 2 eyepatches... but can still see. Either that or a robotic eye that shoots boxing gloves at his henchmen.

Considering how close Kazuma and Haruka were, I wonder how Kazuma feels just leaving her. Also, those kids at the orphanage.

If the game is slated to come out in Japan in December, how long do you think it will take until we see it in North America? Like how long was the wait for Yakuza 4 in the US after the Japanese release?

According to wikipedia it was March 2010 for Japan and March 2011 for the US. Ouch. I had no idea it took that long.

Like how long was the wait for Yakuza 4 in the US after the Japanese release? A year almost to the day. EDIT: This game series isn't nearly popular enough outside Japan to warrant the developers working in concert with localization teams to get near-simultaneous release. Localization is more or less an afterthought, and that's what's kept it cost-effective for them to even bother to this point. There's a lot of stuff that doesn't even get subs, like battle taunts and minigame exclamations, and they don't do any more graphical alteration than they have to. For instance, 3 and I think 4 left the kanji up for enemy names when a battle starts and just put an English subtitle under it. This is clearly done way after the fact. Kinda disappointed that Saijima has to break out of prison again, feels like they didn't have any real idea on what he'd do for the interim so they just made him go through the motions. Aside from that and the lack of Masayoshi, the best character of Yakuza 4, I am totally pumped for this. Really anticipating the updated combat system, though it might have a few teething issues, Yakuza's gameplay did need a bit of an update.

The "darkness" of the idol business is that its literally run by Yakuza in real life and all the shady business revolved around it. It would be pretty funny if they go with that sort of accurate depiction of it and piss off real yakuza.

The only reason I like Dead Souls is due to Majima, he's one of the only characters in any game who is having the time of their life in the middle of a zombie outbreak. For this reason alone, I enjoy the game, shooting controls are only poo poo if you try to manual aim, I just treat it like Dead Rising and let the game's auto aim take over.

Yeah, Majima was the only thing I liked about Dead Souls. He seems to be the only character who realizes he's in a non-canon zombie based spinoff and just runs with it. Just making fun of the whole concept and everyone the whole way through, prancing around Kamurocho with shotgun in hand makin' movies and convincing the most powerful man in Tokyo's yakuza to crossdress. Plus his ending was pretty funny.
