So if I've already gone to see the Duchess at night and hadn't done either Madeleine escort quest so far, am I just completely boned out of her opening up shop until I do a New Game+? The second mission just dropped off the board and she's sitting in the inn, same as ever.

Magick Archer has my eternal appreciation because I switched into it after maxing out assassin, and I've gone from being annoyed by ghost-types to cackling madly while queueing up a Hunter Bolt to clear every single one in a single shot.

My pawn loves to troll people. I've had reports from friends that he'll shout "Ice does nothing!" while giving them Ice Affinity and overwriting their fire daggers. And then he'll run off and loot in the middle of the fight instead of healing. Basically what I'm trying to say is, this is probably the best game ever.

So what does a high Magick stat (or really, any Magick stat) on a Warrior-only weapon do? Does the game calculate elemental-affinity attacks using some portion of your Magick instead of your Attack, or is it just a dump stat to make me feel bad? I ask because, for example: http://dragonsdogma.wikia.com/wiki/Dwells-in-light Since I know Magick-having daggers are useful for most of the MArcher's Dagger attacks, but I'm not that familiar with Warrior. Do they have enough things to make that sword really neat, instead of just Pretty Neat?
