So with Pawns, can you pick specific player's pawns or when looking online for pawns are you just given a random assortment of random people's pawns?

I bought Dragon's Dogma when it first came out but never actually got around to playing it. Now I'm seeing about the Dark Arisen stuff coming out. Does that add anything for low levels? Should I start up Dragon's Dogma now or wait until DA comes out?

I bought Dragon's Dogma when it first came out. I played to the point where I was able to create a pawn (and ended up spending FAR too much time creating my character and my pawn). I was thinking of sitting down and starting over and actually playing this game. Should I just start playing with the base game or should I wait until I can buy Dark Arisen? How far into the game does the Dark Arisen stuff start? Will I have a better experience if I go from the start with Dark Arisen or will it not matter until 10+ hours into the game?

You should play the base game first. Cool. Then I'll just start with the base game and then go pick up Dark Arisen when I can if it doesn't add anything to the lower level experience.

I kind of feel directionless in this game. Not that I have no directions to go, but in every direction is a brick wall. This game is really bad about checkpointing and multiple times I've been sent back a half hour because the game feels like it never saves. About about level 13. I did as many side quests as I could in the starter town/encampment area, but I feel like I need to travel crazy loving distances to do anything now and then as soon as I get there, I get two shot by a bandit.

I just feel like overall I have very little idea where I should/shouldn't be going because all my sidequests lead me to places I get my rear end kicked.

Just follow the road south from that small canyon you enter the area with. If the bandits are giving you trouble on the road there, I believe going at night will replace some of them with wolves. All of my sidequests are "Kill <X> of <Y>" except I did pick up this one guy that wanted to be escorted to this fort in the middle of fuckoffwhoknows.

As lame as it sounds, I just wish quests had level numbers associated with them ala an MMO. Or just make a red title for "YOURE GOING TO GET hosed IN THIS SIDEQUEST." I have no idea what I should be trying to do immediately and what I should just not be caring about.

Anyone on 360 have a high level mage? Seems like every single one of my friends decided they want a warrior pawn. Seriously. On my friends list I have 1 mage, 1 strider, and 9 fighters/warriors. I sent friend requests to a few people on the spreadsheet but hadn't got a response on any of them.
