Awww the saurians look so cute sunning themselves on rocks before you come along.

edit: I like how the game basically always gives you a choice between human enemies (on roads) and non-human enemies (off roads).

And variety, the way the armor works in this game guarantees everyone looks unique, and speaking of armor i really like how some of the raggedy looking ones actually provide more defense than the first plate armor available (particularly the skull belt or whatever), i literally rolled as Hobo-King for about 10 levels before moving on to full chain and other pieces of armor.

For the quest early on where you need to find someone in the Witchwood, is it past the Encampment? Or am I just missing it?

After the encampment, when you take the big U turn you'll be at a fork, you should take the one infested with wolves which should be to your left, the same path also has a cave at its base, and a boulder trap at the top of the hill when you reach up, early on i had better luck going at night (which is literally more wolves) cause the bandits wasted me.

How gnarly is that battle down the well in the first time against those lizard dudes? I was killing them pretty well but there's like, a whoooole bunch and my people eventually were overrun, and I'm curious about whether or not it was just bad luck or if I was out-leveled

Its hard as hell, get a dozen levels before attempting it again.

No no, I mean right now I can only put three skills in the primary weapon slot. Is it possible to unlock the secondary weapon slot and put more skills there?

Edit: This is for the Warrior class.

Nope, unless you have something equipped like a shield, unfortunately warriors only carry one thing unlike the other classes so hes mostly hosed with 3 skills only.

Also ThisIsACoolGuy, even melee classes can fell down bosses without grappling, although the fights are slightly harder that way (since you need to grapple to destroy whatever mcguffin/limb on the monsters to weaken them or whatever).

I switched to mystic knight when i maxed the fighter ranks, i was hoping i would get to mix some fighter skills because enchanting your magick shield and bashing it in someones face would be far more useful than trying to black an attack. At least now i know the only thing you can take are shared skills and keep your previous vocations augments.

Dungeon stuff There should be a pressure plate somewhere in the ruins. I just did this place and I already forgot exactly what I did, but I think you kill the cyclops in the offering chamber, pick up the altar gem from its corpse, then go back and unlock the door at the beginning with the slot, then I think the pressure plate is at the end of that passage.

Don't forget to examine the corpse in the sacrificial chamber to continue the quest.

Has anyone figured out the quest Nameless Terror? i got it really early on but it never progressed, and now i'm at the end of the game.

Also end-game related I mistakenly explored the basement of the great wall and it lead me to the end area, luckily i could exit it, but i feel like a i missed a cutscene with the dragonforged

I'd like to know this too. I took that escort and hit a dead end. By the time I backtracked and took a different path, night had fallen. Mercedes died to one of those exploding zombies. It was frustrating but hilarious.

Spoilers abound but not plot related west of the capital is a network of mines, called the ancient quarry, you'll find a traveling merchant there who asks you to open it up, after you do he'll ask you to dispatch the 3 ogres there, once done any subsequent visit to that area will have humans and guards so the enemies are cleared permanently, this path is a shortcut to the camp area before the shadow fort

Something funny I stumbled upon accidentally when a pawn on the road ran into the middle of our bandit fight: They can be affected by your status spells and they don't retaliate. :v:

You can kill them too, the only place where you can't is the capital, hell you get jailed for doing anything including carrying people or casting dark enchantments (got jailed for casting Dark Anguish, but fire, ice and thunder are ok it seems).

Major post-game spoilers here:

My main pawn, who was my healer, mysteriously disappeared during the Beholder fight. I've done a few more chambers since then but I think I've reached the breaking point. I have few curatives remaining, no cure for petrification, no mage for heals nor status repair, and it's just plain impossible for the three of us to keep going. I haven't used a wakestone in combat yet because I wasn't sure if it would just bring me back (only to inevitably die again) or something story related that would autosave and have me regret later. Am I screwed, or is it time to kill myself with that fancy dagger that appeared in my inventory?

You can go back to town easily, just drop in the hole and it'll drop you in the sky again, can't describe the effect cause my english is bad, hold onto the first ledge where quince i think her name was gave you the quest, then walk over to the door to exit into the pawn guild, the inn-keeper is there, the blacksmith and shop are still running, and the forger/black cat owner is in what remains of the tavern

Any tips on taking down a golem as a mage? My main pawn and I are level 30 and I've been fighting this one golem for 15 minutes. We have the damage because when my pawn does, finally, manage to hit it's weak spot it takes a chunk of it away, but my spells don't seem to do squat.

Are my spells even doing anything? I can't really tell.

Edit: Without using the insta-kill spell. I won't always have it equipped and I want to learn how to beat it normally.

Are you hitting the glowy spots? I guess for casters like you the most troubling part would be the foot/sole of the golem, i read somewhere that you should get close enough and smash your strong attack button, because pawns are too dumb to damage that bit.

I was hoping killing him would count as him having been evicted and I could move on

Unless its story related there is no permanent death, so wait a week and he'll respawn.

Also with regards to the trial and tribulations quest, i have went through it twice and i can tell you without a doubt that you need at least one forgery on top of the witnesses to prove him innocent, so don't waste your cash on a second forged document.

oh good lord i ignored it, in NG+ i tried to see the other options, but it seems like if i don't listen to the game i get to miss out on a ton of content.

Anyone got any recommendations as to where I should place the Port Crystal that you get from Bluemoon Tower? I'm thinking of the rest stop in the southwest so I can have easy access to that area of the map.

You get a shortcut via the Ancient Quarry, i think the best bet for the first portcrystal is to stick it somewhere in the north, or near Cassardis cause going through the mountain path sucks.
