Someone in that thread gave some answers I wasn't satisfied with. I don't buy the expansion that Kaede was cosplayable because she wasn't fictional. Her actor wasn't fictional but Kaede, the person who wore those clothes, was. They also said the flashback lights have competence in the ultimate abilities but I remember Tsumugi saying the exact opposite of that.

Gonna be honest, I'd be surprised if the cospox thing was actually real. It sounds like a thing preplanned by her so that the class trial wouldn't keep starting with "but what if it was Tsumugi disguised as them" as well as a way to alleviate suspicion from her generally, I can imagine it's something either scripted or she can activate herself when needed. The way she's very forceful about proving it to Kaede makes me think it was really something she wanted to show off early.
