There is absolutely nothing worse than shogun 2 naval battles. Is there a mod to remove/make better? I couldn't find one. I'm tired of having to battle out at 3x speed otherwise the autoresolve will murder my nubian trade ships. I'd be happy with a 100% autowin via autoresolve as that's where this particular game is.

god that drawing is terrible.

I think they'd be able to throw something together somewhat easily with the box protection for individual (maybe mixed) squads or preset formations like shogun 2

The ai knows how to handle them, just send so many fleets that the autoresolve eventually gives them the ships or you have to play out every single one and then quit the game out of frustration.

And Rat Ogres in particular are alright units in campaign - it's just that virtually everyone rushes for like an almost pure gun line + war machine build as Skaven. Let me know if these things changed but just having a new lord cost you 1.35 upkeep really means you have to doom. Especially on the harder difficulty

Naval battles are the worst thing and even if you cheese it up and have cannon ships you can't autoresolve. Just absolutely terrible design.
