Listened to the latest episode earlier today, which reminded me that there was an SA thread for Night Vale. It's my favorite thing to listen to, and it's interesting how it boosted in popularity so suddenly. Now that Megan's shown up, I wonder if we'll hear from Champ.

I just automatically associate Cecil with Mr. Tastee from the Adventures of Pete & Pete. It's kind of weird. Though I really like Cecil Baldwin's image of Carlos (buff handsome guy that wears glasses & a labcoat), I usually just imagine him looking more like a hispanic Otacon. The aggressively normal image I tend to associate more with Steve Carlsberg. Something about Cecil's (righteous) hatred of that despicable man just makes me assume he has a very inoffensive look to him. Also he's 40-something.

This was the best holiday special ever. My favorite part was how at the end the monolith provides everyone with presents, which are then dumped into the landfill because commercialism is bad, and then the council tells everyone to discuss their secrets into the spy cameras in their homes. E: Also the extended slurping noise.

Incidentally, the script reveals that the censored portion was was a completely normal description of clouds. It also describes The Weather as "[music completely unrelated to weather]".

Saw the final live show last night. It was amazing. My favorite parts were when Cecil and Tamika gushed about the action scenes from The Time-Travellers Wife and the reveal of the title. Mary Epworth was also really good.

Plus the only description of his appearance prior to the latest episode is from Sandstorm, which stated he wears a bow tie (granted it also stated that he has solid black eyes).

Haven't posted in a while due to a need to catch up but here's two things I have to say: 1) As someone who, due to mental illness, has had to make involuntary stays at mental health facilities, Within the Wires is very interesting as a concept to me, and I think it's a much more interesting take on such facilities than what usually appears in media. 2) As a person who is plugged into the tumblr zeitgeist, the Night Vale fandom nowadays isn't really like what it was back in 2013. Most fans have have lost or decreased in interest, and now it's just another thing that some people like.

I went to the live show in Boston last weekend. It was a lot of fun! Cecil was wearing this bizarre suit that I loved.
