I was liking Spirit of Sanada but the second half drags so badly and the wrongheaded decision to cut out Hideyori entirely just kills it the whole story.

So since the game's out in Japan, I was curious: The official website implies that there is just one linear campaign story without any choices beyond maybe who is controlled in the battles and every other mode was a thin grind with very sporatic moments of dialogue. Is there much more to 5?

Definitely feels back to basics but that's not an awful idea. The story mode has definitely not taken any lessons from SoS, that's for sure.

Hah, that reminds me of having to press myself against a fence in (4?) to watch Pang Tong slowly beat a small group of mooks.
