Listened to it in the car with the old cassette adapter. These would break every few months

Couldn't use those fm adapters because there isn't a single "empty" radio station where I live.

When I bought my latest car, an aux port was a must.

I recently inherited an old-rear end pickup truck I was using to move across town with. I picked up one of these things at a Radio Shack for $15.00, poppped it in my tape deck and listened to some music for exactly one 10 mile ride. When I fired the pickup back up it promptly destroyed the tape.

(machine stuff)

While our shop did finally get rid of them all, we had a few Haas machines that were like you just described. From what I recall you could upgrade for more memory for an arm and a leg up front, and your first born son on installation.

But now we have an EC400 which has essentially replaced everything but the lathe. Owner signed his soul for that one.

So I said I'd burn a few DVD's for a friend, I'd just need her to grab me some DVD-r's because I was out.

She came back with eight of these:

It is kinda hard to see because of the  jewel case but that is a HD-DVD rewriteable disc.

:psyduck: I didn't even realize what they were until I was inspecting the fancy raibow-cases.

I'm tempted to hang on to them for a while. They were bought at this ghetto-rear end drug store in my town for less than a dollar each

The worst was thinking you had downloaded an episode of Dragonball Z or Pokemon or whatever I watched back then, only to have it be childporn.

I was only 13, goddamnit. I shouldn't have had to see that.

And it is awesome! the past 75 pages of old electronic things are neat, but I am in love with old mechanical devices.

Though I'd like to see a thread like this in AI where the regular posters there can toss in bullshit I'd never think of

For content I always thought mechanical slot machines were neat:
