No Pharma in the UK would put a pregnant woman through clinical trials, however it does have redeeming qualities in other areas, which is what Pharma does... drug fails in a specific area they either redevelop it or rebrand it for other areas it can be effective. Of the Millions that goes into researching a whole branch of drugs, a very low percentage make it through trials to production.. that's why treatments cost so much until they go 'generic'.
