The enemies ignoring the drone were the ones who didn't damage it anyway.

The basic test for making drone powers worthwhile is "can they kill a basic trooper before the trooper kills it?" The only one that passes that test is the offensive Geth Turret. With the buff to combos 0/6/6/6/6 seems like a no-brainer for FQE and HE.

The FQE's Turret with the flamethrower evo can now set up fire combos for her to detonate with incinerate so that one is useful ,of course I set it up to fire missiles right before I found that out so now I've got to respect her and I'm all out of cards.

As for the He's drone, I like giving it the missile evo and dropping it next to me to help me kill things faster and the fact that enemies sometimes shoot at it instead of me doesn't hurt ether.

The Sentry Turret does not suck, at least not on the Quarian Engineer you just need to know how to use it.

You can spec it for shock and use it as a stun bomb, it will stun most non-boss enemies including Dragoons. Don't use the flamethrower it won't use the stun as often and the stun is way more important then the flamer.

The other way to use it is to spec it for shields/damage, ap ammo and rockets, throw the turret behind/next you or if possible somewhere up high and let be it fire support. If the turret is not on the front lines the enemies tend to ignore it in favor of going after you or your teammates letting the turret do its thing until an enemy wonders close it.

UnknownMercenary posted:

the Sentry Turret is affected by the -50 damage on Gold and Platinum armour, even with the AP evolution.
The gun does its full damage, all of it's other powers do suffer the penalty, that being said however the turret still does more damage to armor with the gun + plus the rockets then with the gun by itself so it's still a good idea to take the rockets.

Silver is your best bet for Guardians. On gold they only show up in waves 2 and 9, silver they show up in 2, 3, 6(if the objective on this wave is target elimination the targets will be Guardians), and 10. I have no info on Geth bombers, I found them to be fairly plentiful (see also: fairly annoying) so I had no real issue getting the points hammered out. I think prime points took me the longest.

To expand on this, on wave ten silver if you kill the Atlases and Phantoms right away no more will spawn in leaving you with just Guardians and Engineers to play with.

The other popular method for grinding Guardians is to solo gold killing only Guardians on wave 2(you can kill 14 of them if you avoid killing the other enemies) then you die and do it all over again or you can always do wave 3 to get some spacebucks out of the deal and die after that.

You do have some nice things, even if they are at low level the Reegar Carbine, Geth Plasma Shotgun, Claymore, Valiant, Widow, Collector Rifle, Graal Spike Thrower, are all good guns.

The Phaeston and Phalanx are both good lightweight weapons for casters.
And Don't discount your Mantis X it's a drat fine gun.

As far as weapon mods go you have armor piercing for everything other than your pistols and even at level 1 armor piercing mods go a long way, plus the Graal Spike Thrower, Geth Plasma Shotgun, and the Widow don't need ap mods to be effective against armor.

As far as your characters go you have no bad characters.
This thread on the bsn forums has been very helpful to me for finding good character builds.

I should have phrased that better. I don't have anything people are suggesting to use for a bronze solo and I am not entirely sure what I can do. The farthest I got was wave six with my Quarian Infiltrator against Geth but I ran out of time on eliminating targets. That's the only time I ever got past wave four, though.

I've had the most luck getting to 50 with the Saber on said infiltrator in public games. I can usually get two or three shots off before the cloak runs out.

Ah try this,
http://narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#Infiltrator/Quarian/LAPLR/////OmniCapacitors1/
This is what I used to get my first solo against Cerberus.
Use the sniper rifle you are most comfortable using and use your Extended Barrel and ap mods on it unless you use the Widow, in the case use the Extended Barrel and Spare Thermal Clip mods.

You want Duration on your cloak for device objectives and for running away.

Sabotage on bronze will out right kill Assault Troopers and will double stun all their human units (once when it first hits and again when the backfire explodes) other then the Dragoons (only stuns on the explosion) and the Phantom (still does good damage).

I did my solo on Giant if that helps at all.

Also, perhaps recommendations on which packs to buy to at least help me gear a little?
You should buy recruit packs until you max out your common weapons then buy veteran packs and regular Specter packs from there until you max out your uncommon Weapons and then go nuts from there.
As for you characters:
The Human Infiltrator is good class to use with your Mantis.
http://narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#Infiltrator/Human/PRANR/Mantis7AS1AR3/////
Cloak, Cryo Blast, Shoot, unless your target is very far away which in that case Cryo Blast, cool down, Cloak, Shoot.

The Human Engineers are another good choice since they don't need good gear or weapons to be effective: http://narida.pytalhost.com/me3/classes/#Engineer/Human/MPLID//////
If it has shields or barriers use Overload then Incinerate for a Tech Burst, if it has armor use Incinerate then Overload for a fire explosion. Shoot during cooldowns.

Don't take bonus power, spec her for damage, Dark Channel lasts a very long time even without the duration evo so you can easily recloak and fire off a Warp Ball if you want a Biotic explosion, though I like to throw warp at a different enemy so that two of them are feeling the pain.

Two more things about Sabotage,
1:The damage done by Sabotage is credited to the last thing that hit before Sabotage so it can be use to level up things faster.

2:The Tech Vulnerability evo affects Sabotage itself, It makes the explosion at the end of an organic Sabotage do more damage and it makes the Explosive Hack evo do more damage as well.

Phantoms,Atlases,Psions have to use their melee attack before they can perform their kill moves.
