I preferred Nickelodeon to Voynichi Hotel because I feel that Sayman's particular brand of weirdness fits the self-contained story format much better than trying to make it have a long arc. Not that I thought it was bad, but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it was just vignettes about the weird guests and employees instead.

Can anyone remember some collection of short stories where one was a guy who got a book from the future, full of pictures of girls he could date instead of his lovely girlfriend. Then when he goes to break up with her, he decides not to spontaneously and the picture book was all pictures of her at various stages of life after they got married I think it was posted here or old surreal daily life thread

Hey you guys! I'm gonna just go ahead and post an anime here because I'm the OP!! At any rate: Milpom.  A surreal stop-motion animated show with some puppets that have the  -est eyes ever, and they just sort of banter about nothing in particular. And for some reason everyone around town has to wear weird animal masks?? An excellent mixture of equal parts Bratz Dolls meets a heavy dose of  . Aahh I'm gonna see those things in my nightmares. It's somehow exactly how I would have imagined japanese stop motion if I had ever considered the idea. But it's... not bad? It's just the right amount of uncanny valley to make the little plotless skits seem interesting.

It's a very frustrating update schedule, I'll admit - do you happen to know why it is like it is? The story is just about interesting enough for me to stay interested, though - there's enough things going on that I want to understand to continue reading through the frustration.

Yeah Kuro is great but it's so much of a blink-and-you-miss-it with regards to plot developments there's never too much to talk about. Sure will be though once it's finished.
