How loud was it? I'm going to the ALMS race in a few weekend's time and would rather keep my hearing intact.

Yep - the ALMS cars were easily the loudest the entire weekend at Long Beach. I'd say the Patron Ferraris might've been the single loudest cars there. The turbocharged Indycars can easily be done without earplugs, the naturally aspirated Indy Lights and other sports car series can maybe be done without them, but those big uncorked NA engines in the top level ALMS cars are just deafening.

I did a Grand Am weekend last year, and the RX-8s were the ones who did damage. Loud is one thing, loud + piercing is a whole other level of pain.

Will wear ear protection, thanks.

"Once the last kitten was safely wrapped in one of Biden's many denim jackets, the vice president then gunned his Trans-Am and in what meteorologists are calling 'the most badass loving peelout ever man' drove through hurricane Issac, dissipating the storm system to a nice smelling breeze. Romney's campaign calling this the gaffe of the century and a further extension of current President Obama's failed policies."

Some nerd said that they sell for $3000. The car is overpriced, but it presses all of the right buttons for me. Honda 80s econohatch with a turbo and a small motorbike? In fantastic shape?

It's 108hp + the 2.5 from the scooter, so technically 110.5hp. :v:

It looks really good and I think somebody posted like the super alpha where it was just the truck colliding into the 80s Japanese econohatchback.

The only thing that seems immediately off is the lack of the cabin deforming in most of these crashes. I would expect the roof to ripple and the cabin to be compromised, but IANAP (I am not a Physicist).

I'm going to do some A/B testing for a friend regarding Miata intakes. The short of it is that he wants to use a 3D printed intake tube that will go into the bumper cover and have access to ambient air versus having a hot air intake within the engine bay. It's some Next. Level. poo poo.

Materials and shipping are like $35 for the printed tube.
