Lamar Smith R-TX posted:How am I as the recipient supposed to even start the claims process? He used the "default" insurance on a USPS Ground package which is $500. I paid $550. He chose which carrier to use. He chose to send it USPS Ground. He has all the paperwork. If it was sent priority w/o extra insurance, they're only on the tab for $50. Lamar Smith R-TX posted:Even thinking about it logically if he strapped my part to a donkey and whacked it on the rear end real hard how am I inheriting all of that liability? That sounds wrong to me. Your only real ability is to file with USPS and try to stop payment or raise a flag somehow. I've got someone who is currently trying to weasel out of improperly packaging a rather rare and irreparable sign, but doesn't want to give me the money back for the neon coming out as shards. They DID insure it well, but packed it poorly, so USPS will probably end up loving me on that, too.

I know drivers who intentionally didn't do this until end-of-day to avoid being pestered. I'm also familiar enough with our local USPS folk to know that only one of the drivers bothers to scan things for pickup before returning to the mothership. FedEx, though, seems to do things as they were told.

Our existing healthcare reform is loving awesome. The greedy fucks aren't getting a lot of money, so they're retiring early. The rest are just poo poo at their jobs. The only doctor who was approved for my surgery under OC? He's got SANCTIONS against him and lost his license in CT. No, I'm not going to have that guy slice me open. Yes, he is the only one both approved and accepting ObamaCare within a 200 mile radius. Of course, now they can't gently caress me for a pre-existing condition, thank god, but lemme tell ya these current half-to-pay-for-own-insurance expenses are costing over a third of my just-to-live-and-pay-basic-bills, so that tacks on 33% on someone who isn't going to be cleared to work anytime soon. What the hell - it's only been over a loving year. I'm going to be completely destitute before I get back to work at this rate. If I had never worked a day in my life? I'd be covered. If I was here under less-than-legal circumstances? I'd have had my surgery on the same day, rather than kicked to the curb and ignored hours after a traumatic brain injury. I wasn't even speaking out of monosyllabic words for several days afterwards. Oh, yeah, I shouldnt have been released. They shouldn't have ignored my cries for help from the pain due to the severe separation of my shoulder. They wouldn't even x-ray it until days later when I returned to the ER. They didn't want to deal with me, because they didn't see any money in it. I've been told this flat out by several hospital employees and private sector medical folks. We need a lot of things reformed - we need to start by taking care of our loving citizens who give back. The often-praised these days socialism concepts still don't work if nobody works. I don't doubt that there are awful doctors in CT, but you just posted a bunch of stdh.txt. Thank you for not paying attention and negating everything I said just because you feel the need to be a pompous rear end. There IS a company which handles Obamacare, it is called "Amerigroup Solutions" here in Nevada. They are the feel-good name for Welfare. They have two plans, Welfare, and ObamaCare. Nobody here who accepts Amerigroup will accept the Obamacare Amerigroup. I know because I have loving contacted every single one of them. Just put me on ignore and go back to your Miata hugbox, k? anonumos posted:All of this was prevalent under the pre-ACA system, as well. You are describing the ills of the healthcare system and then pinning the entire blame on "ObamaCare". I'm sorry you're having so much trouble getting treatment, but put the blame where it belongs. It sure sucked then, too, but I had a choice of doctor who wouldn't see me. As a matter of fact, I praised Obamacare for giving me the option of even having insurance that MUST accept me, since this is now a pre-existing condition. I'm glad all of you with your rosey shades couldn't see that, but instead decided that I was attacking the whole loving thing. It doesn't work, but it IS a bit better for those of us who are hosed and can't afford to do anything about it. Barely. A lot of stuff won't and is not covered. Period. They'll be happy to throw vicodin at me all day, but I wasn't even approved for the doctor who shouldn't be allowed near raw meat. Nope, it's still coming out of pocket.
