Y'all need to watch Sturgill Simpson's episode of Austin City Limits.

Yeah this was great!

I know there aren't a lot of people here into Avett Brothers but my wife and I saw them again last night. They're still great to see live. I haven't been into the last couple of albums but they played a few from the one they're working on that seemed to have more energy than what I've gotten from the last couple albums. "Satan Pulls the Strings" was hands down the best of the night.

I just got done watching the new Mike Judge show, Tales from the Tour Bus. The episode on Blaze Foley was pretty good and might be my favorite.

Yeah this show is great! Started it for the Jerry Lee Lewis episode but really they're all really well done.

I was gonna ask about this too, mind sending link with this info? The only thing I saw yesterday was that Isbell was producing a Josh Ritter album.

I really liked Trampled By Turtles for a long time, but I feel like the last few years have been all sad bastard music.

I like Crowded Table better than the first single. I don't know though, I like all of them, but the vocals are just too crowded for me. Each of them could easily carry these songs solo, but when they're all singing the vocals feel generic.

I'm not Texan but wife is. We were driving in one weekend scanning the radio as we crossed into Texarkana and hit some radio station that seemed to only play old Texas country. It was incredible. I'd never want to live there but the timing of driving through when we hit that station was perfect.

Yeah the vocals sound really muffled here. It's like hearing a Neil Young song playing in the next room.

Hah I like that description! To me it sounds like Amanda Shires wrote it. A lot on her last album had that sound on the vocals.
