Those pictures number in the hundreds of thousands and it's not that he built muscle he just cut weight, which is possible in a months time. If you're tiny muscular like that guy, even a bit of fat will hide your muscles really easily

Fortunately season 1 is really self contained so it didn't end on a huge cliffhanger or something. One Punch Man fighting a galactic threat and having a fun fight is a nice bookend to the story I would have really wanted to see the Garou stuff animated and done with the same studio though. It has a lot of cool moments

Muratas version is about ten thousand times better and it is the unique mix of humor AND awesome action that makes it so great. If you don't care about fighty action sequences I can maybe see why you'd prefer a bunch of lukwarm jokes in a row I guess

Genos is super powerful, it's just that he's squared off against some of the most powerful monsters and gotten dunked on. Monsters that Saitama had to onepunch himself, like the Centipede, Asura Rhino or Mosquito lady. For all we know they were as powerful as Boros
