The Switch version is the only version Ive ever played so Ive no basis for comparison, but I thought it looked and handled fine. They added some touchscreen controls but I just turned those off. Ive got plenty of complaints about the game but I dont think any of them have to do with the quality of the Switch port.

The disc version was always $30 and I wanna say Nintendo doesn't like devs pricing digital games cheaper than the retail option (or they're just milking it, Nicalis style). The original SNES cart is stupid expensive. It's a good remake of a good game.

It is a digital only game in Japan, which is funny because I think there was a bit of physical version envy there. Natsume has distribution rights in America, hence the pricing and promotion leaning toward further commodity stuff like "rare keychain." If you search by publisher and find Hamster(I think, they might be developer) though you'll find a ton of the Neo Geo library and some Nintendo arcade games. Also Namco has a collection out
