Did anyone else get completely loving lost early on in Shantae: Risky's Revenge? I kept running in circles around the overworld and the first dungeon (around where I got the monkey form) and just sort of lost interest because I had no sense of direction on where to go/what to find. I do want to sit down and give it another go though.

Holy poo poo, GG Mega Man was he first one I ever played, that was my childhood. I..I think I might have to get it.

Yeah, same here. I was so sad at times being a Sega guy and then holy poo poo, a Mega Man game!

I don't remember it being that bad a translation of the NES games, other than the mind-boggling terrible choice of Robot Masters.

One thing I'll say about the GG Sonic games: Sonic 2 is way, way better than Sonic 1. The first one was glitchy, had poor controls and generally seemed empty compared to the Genesis games. Sonic 2 seemed to find its way creatively with some inventive levels and controlled far better to boot.

Sonic Triple Trouble is probably the best one there, but I'd recommend you look at them solely from a historical perspective because dear lord they have not aged well.*

*Sunset Park Act 3 in Triple Trouble notwithstanding, thanks to its great audio track.
