 O-1 Bird Dog used for artillery spotting during Korea and Vietnam. I've always liked it because 1) it's a Cessna with jaws 2) Its name is totally appropriate to its mission 3) It feels like it's OG back to WWI in its role of spotting the enemy from the air and directing artillery and finally 4) It was flown by this bad rear end mofo:  Who flew it on 85 combat missions and was awarded 6 air medals.

The others I can't see the number.

He was in uniform, drawing the pay of his grade, subject to UCMJ, etc. From what I got from that video, some doctor years later diagnosed the pain and suggested he get VA disability from it. It's still pretty shady. OTOH, this guy also went to USMAPS and dropped out.
