http://www.worldwaronecolorphotos.com/ Barely a hundred years ago. We spent a huge portion of an art appreciation class I took covering the early days of photography and color photography, incredibly interesting if that's your thing. Helped a lot that my instructor was a huge camera nerd.

They really should just issue each joe a field expedient inflatable gently caress doll. But then they'd have to have classes on cleaning it, proper storage, and explain DX procedures. The first one, I've always wondered how effective that is. What kind of ding in the decibel level it actually does. I know they're only used for testing or training in areas closer to civilization than people like hearing load explosions and poo poo, and it must be useful to some extent or they wouldn't have made it. And that saw is loving ridiculous.
