He said he was retiring from live shows due to hearing loss iirc. Most of the Oingo Boingo band got other gigs and some did tribute stuff; it was amazingly popular in SoCal. There were around 5 different (mostly very good) tribute bands at one point. Anyway Elfman has been mostly ripping himself off for years at this point - very derivative stuff - so to get what is a functionally a new Oingo Boingo track AND a creepy Elfman-as-Mephistopheles vid to go with it is a nice surprise.
