Passed my Network+ today. Gonna start on the Security+ next. Anyone know if the Professor Messer Security+ videos are worth watching?

I used Professor Messer's videos as a supplement for N+ and S+. Great free resource in my opinion. I used the exam cram materials and Darril Gibson's book for Security+, AIO is overkill for that cert. It's an easy certification but IMO it is far more practical than CISSP for entry level security jobs (I have both).

Thanks for the response. I used his videos for the N+ but they are pretty dry so I just wanted an opinion before I started watching them. Sadly I have to wait until the end of December before I can get a slot to test. Stupid winter breaks. At least I'll have plenty of time to study I guess. CISSP requires you to actually have documented experience in security doesn't it?

I used this one http://www.amazon.com/CompTIA-Netwo...ybex+network%2B and the Professor Messer videos. Passed it easily. The book doesn't come with the test prep stuff on a CD you have to go to the URL it gives and download it.

Would there be any reason to wait and take both the 801 and 802 at the same time or would it be alright to take the 801 and then the 802 later?

I took both of them at the same time and passed them both fine. But then I live 4 hours away from my closest testing center so I don't have much of a choice. Taking them separately would let you tailor your studying more to each test but I didn't really find either test difficult enough to have done that. They cover pretty much the same info but the 802 focuses more on specific troubleshooting issues whereas the 801 is more just fact based.

Does anyone have any study recommendations for the Office 365 MCSA? My VP would like me to get the cert because we're going to be rolling o365 out soon company wide.

We have some Microsoft training credits but it looks like the courses they sponsor only give 5 days of access to lab environments, which is not going to be enough for me.

You better get back to your VP and make sure you're going through a VAR. Microsoft is paying VARs to have specialists who help (you) migrate to o365. Take the classes and shadow the SME.

We've actually got a couple admins that are working on the migration. The VP wanted me to get the cert, more to familiarize myself with o365 so I can help administer the systems. Our department is pretty small and everyone has to wear multiple hats.

I'm on the service desk so this is pretty much the VP wanting to get me to the level that I can deal with incidents and service requests without having to escalate everything to the system and app admins.
