It seriously depends on what and how you record. For example, an hour of SNES footage recorded with lagarith at double size got me 3.4GB, just now testing half a minute of 1080p recording was already 600mb with Fraps.
Just remember: the bigger the resolution and the more moving stuff and colors are in what you want to record, the more disk space it will need.
