The Ziggy Sobotka account has this to say about the Trump post: "I 100% promise you it was not me that tweeted that. I was passed out drunk and woke up to an unfollow from David Simon and at least 20 DM’s. It’s a complicated story but it has to do with my dogs. I have made concessions in my life to stay with them. I DO NOT SUPPORT DONALD TRUMP

Now he's claiming it was his lady friend who did it because she was mad that he spent a ton of money to go to Baltimore. And he posted a picture of their filthy rear end apartment and holy poo poo if he is spending all his money on trips to Baltimore and living like that, I would be pissed too. And also Simon is being roasted for being a zionist in the comments.

One of my favourite little things I learned about this show recently is that Method Man would look up peoples reactions after their characters were killed and people were full of praises for them or how much they liked the character. When Cheese got got everyone said "gently caress cheese man" lmao.

Fun detail about Meth's casting is that he was apparently the only well-known rapper who angled for a part (and surely there were a few) who took the audition seriously, supposedly the others were just trying to walk on. Wonder who else tried; DMX could've fit right in.

Method kills it in the Deuce too. There's a scene where here's following Gyllenhal and harassing her that's one of the best moments of the show imo.

the website I work on at work sucks rear end and is an utter mess, but the coolest thing about it is that some ex-employee snuck a really deep-cut wire reference into one of the forms like 2 years ago:

lol I usually try to use that as a username for websites etc and I’m pleased at how often it’s already taken E: so if you see a weirdo named fuzzy Dunlop on some other site, it’s them not me

I generally dislike Simon's twitter for previously stated reasons, but "Batman in the Wire" is a great bit and I Simon is very amusing responding to all the tweets about it.

Simon's Twitter is something, you just gotta take the good with the bad. Which, if you use Twitter, is a strategy I think many employ. Just like you can't expect one individual to change an institution on their own, you can't expect one man to be an oracle for everything just because he has demonstrated keen insights in the past. Anyway, we had a discussion about either a re-watch, a Homicide episode by episode watch, or another Simon vehicle. I will be having major surgery in December so I will be laid up for a while. Oh poo poo, we definitely need to do The Corner and I can drop my insights as a recovered addict..

Small detail I appreciated on rewatching S5, when accused of making up the story by Gus, Scott Templeton throws his notebook aside after saying it's all in his notes. The camera has it on show and you can see it's empty.

Alma even brings it up later on, she collected it and read it and discovered that at some point, he even gave up on the fiction of making fake notes and just stopped bothering. You can see why too, at every step that he was challenged or questioned, the 1 dimensional bosses immediately had his back and gave him free reign to do as he liked. This is loving with me, do you guys think these two were on set together or not? The entire dynamic suggests no but if that's the case that's some really loving good rearview compositing and The Wire is not an effects show in the slightest. https://x.com/thamosdeaf/status/1849617419993530807
