Worden was a major feature in Simons book Homicide, while Burns and Childs were mentioned but not featured as they were on detail and the opposite shift respectively. I was trying to find out, but I would guess John O'Niel and Steve Cleary were also real (real) police. Also it has definitely been said before, but both Simon's books Homicide and The Corner are fantastic and definitely worth a read.
