So does Ravensword stand up as a good game, or is it just a shinier yet still lovely Elder Scrolls wannabe?

It's buggy as hell. Very unbalanced, and has dumb AI. The world is generic and soulless. It's basically Aralon with better graphics.

A lot of people are buying it because of how pretty it is, and then try to convince themselves its a good game, instead of accepting the fact they wasted $7.

how does bastion play on a regular 4?

If you never played Bastion, you'll enjoy it. If you've previously played it on console, you'll be let down how the touch controls make the game less enjoyable.

Homerun Battle 2 has some pretty cool new multiplayer modes that the original didn't have. Theres a 4 player mode where you compete for objectives, and other players can join mid game, and a versus survival mode where you can use obstacles to mess the other player up. Its definitely worth checking out for anyone who loved the first one.

This seems to be very popular in Japan and Korea, and finding a match is always instantaneous.

How does Blockhead compared to Deepworld? I like that Deepworld has you sharing the world with tons of other players in a persistent world.

Also I need help remembering a game.

It's in a FPS perspective. Sci fi genre. The art style has been described as being like an acid trip.

You work your way through lots of levels. Its considered to be difficult. The game has a ton of items that are upgradeable and customizable.

There are so many time/resource farming management games. Mant of which are massively popular with high reviews. I just wish there was one clear cut winner. Happy Street has a great art style, but Clash of Clans has a cool PvP component. The Simpsons Tapped Out looks like a lot of fun though.

I downloaded Gears a long time ago when it was free, and only just started playing it a couple days ago. It's a great game. The touch controls are very satisfying, and the game looks great. The challenge curve is just right.

Table Top racers looks fun, and the graphics look awesome. I'm just turned off by the fact that you cant break or accelerate. Some people say its still a great game. I loved the original Micro Machines on NES.

Probably spend my few bucks on Little Inferno though.

Stock Wars is a pretty good virtual stock market game. Even if you aren't into the stock market, it's interesting to buy up stock, and see how much you would have made (but probably lost) if it were real money. Good way to practice for the real thing and compare yourselves to other traders.

Can anyone recommend a Texas hold-em game that does not involve IAP virtual currency - just something similar to 'Poker night at the Inventory' on steam?

I'm assuming you've tried Zynga Live Poker?

While it definitely pushes IAP, it's definitely not required, as there are plenty of low stakes tablets, and free chip gifts daily.

I'm a big poker player, and i've tried all the popular poker apps, but Zynga is still the best. It has the largest player base, and quickest gameplay flow. Good variety of games too.

I was really disappointed with RR2 compared to the first one. The driving physics in the original felt better to me. Also I much preferred the multiplayer system of competing for the top real time session track times, instead of the real time racing in which lag is always teleporting cars around, people are always quitting before the first lap is over, leaving 2 cars at best by the end, and you end up racing cars that have double your horsepower that you are nowhere near able to afford.

Is anyone here who's playing Real Racing 3 able to honestly say that they are faster racing with the assists off? I just see no incentive to race without the assists. With them on, your cornering is perfect, and then you're able to win races to get the money, to get all the cool cars you want. But then all you're doing is steering, and so much for this being a sim type game.

It just feels like they've removed the element of skill, and winning races is just a matter of upgrading your car to be faster than the competition. And this gameplay design only exists to serve their IAP centric scheme.

Real Racing 1 was the best. The multiplayer system of racing for the best track times in live sessions was great. The handling felt just right. It didn't hold your hand. It felt like a sim. It's too bad they had to take EA's money and let them rape their IP like they have many times before. RR3 feels too much like a cash grab. The graphics, the tracks, the cars, and content is amazing. It's too bad it's spoiled by poor design.

Blitz Brigade is pretty awesome. Even though it's a shameless TF2 copy. It looks and plays great. It's just a shame most of the games i've played, players quit, or just stand there.

Also, Survivalcraft seems to be better than Minecraft PE. Even though it's missing a few things like farming, it has its own unique features, but the main thing is that the world is infinite. The world in Minecraft PE is too small.

I'm really diggin' Gangstar Vegas so far. I wasn't a huge fan of the previous ones. But this one is a significant improvement. Much bigger world, nice graphics, lots of voiceover, and the casino games are decently done. Bonus points for it being a universal app too. It's very Saints Rowish. I am a bit biased since Vegas is my second home, and I like MMA.

Lego Batman is really good and is well worth the buck.

My only complaint is how hard they push DLC (you will run into a lot of things in the game that need DLC characters to access, but its not required), and a lot of reviewers are complaining about DLC purchases being lost.

But i'm not messing with DLC, so it's all good for me.

Picked up Wayward Souls and while I do see why people like it, it doesn't do it for me. It is too difficult to play causally and too repetitive to really devote a lot of time too when paying full attention too. I'm starting to think I should just give up on ios games, other then adventure games and turn-based wargames stuff, nothing I have tried has really captured my interest. Maybe it is a lack of nostalgia but the 8-bit look and difficulty-as-a-selling-point trends don't do anything for me.

I'm into Dark Souls, so I like the challenge Wayward Souls would give.

But Battleheart Legacy seems more fun and less frustrating, but I also think maybe I should wait until all the bugs are patched.

Are there any decently priced MFI controllers yet? I just heard about the initial launch ones and then haven't really followed up since.

If you're playing on the iPhone/iPod Touch, the Logitech Powershell is pretty good, and it's price has been reduced to $50.

The cheapest non connected controller for iPad that is good, is the $80 SteelSeries Stratus.

There were a bunch of promising controllers showcased at E3. Might be best to wait until they hit the market.

But so far it seems like the gamers on TouchArcade who are already playing it don't seem to have an issue with the touch controls.
