Another great We Hate Movies is their Pippi Longstocking episode. They really hated that fucken movie and I loved the idea of Pippi Longstocking as brought to you by AMC. Another great one is One Magical Christmas. Their German Santa still cracks me up.

After seeing all the praise it gets around here, I'm curious: is We Hate Movies the kind of podcast you can listen to even if you haven't seen the movie, or is it something that's really only funny if you're familiar with what they're discussing?

I'm listening to it now and it's one of their better episodes. No crazy screaming over each other. No missing basic plot points. It's everyone basically going :stonk: for the entire episode.

Plus Nothing But Trouble deserves that type of reaction. That movie is loving nuts.

We Hate movies had that reaction with One Magic Christmas. They were in complete shock over how it was a Christmas movie and how insane the movie was.

I know this seems like a small thing but since the internet can be such fountain of hate a lot of the times, so it's nice to know that these guys can restrain themselves when they don't have to. I also like the way they quickly bring up suicide whenever they discussed what they would do if they found themselves trapped in a character's predicament :v:. Don't give up that quickly, guys!

I've been listening to Film Sack for several months now. I don't watch a lot of movies, but I make it a point to watch anything they cover before listening to the podcast. I've watched some total poo poo: Anaconda, Bloodrayne, Dead Heat. And it's fine. I can appreciate bad cinema, especially when it's being made fun of.

But nothing -- NOTHING -- prepared me for this week's movie: The Adventures of Ford Fairlane.

Holy gently caress. It's like they made a list of all of the most unlikeable people in show business during the late 80's and cast them in a movie. Every goddamned line out of Andrew Dice Clay's mouth is a poorly-delivered one-liner. There's no real plot to speak of, let alone humor. My god, this may be the worst thing I've ever watched. It just has no redeeming qualities at all.

Did anyone else watch this for the first time because of Film Sack? We should form a support group.

Someone will say something funny, they'll stat laughing, and like a second into the laugh it just cuts to them talking more. It's unnerving and felt like it was going to give me an anxiety attack. I don't have any idea how people could listen to this on the regular.
