Holy poo poo. 19 title changes in 2009? I don't even remember that many happening. All I can think of for the WWE title is HHH to Orton, Orton back to HHH, then it somehow gets back to Cena by the end of the year.

World Heavyweight title was Cena for a while, then Jeff, then Punk, then Taker?

That's literally all I remember of 2009.

Much to Vince's chagrin though, Cena's really not nearly enough of mainstream celebrity to turn this into a huge scandal especially since he's already divorced. It's not like he's accused of rape or anything illegal.

He'll get a couple more articles on gossip sites but this will quickly blow over.

Like the article states, Cena is going to be making the rounds hyping up Wrestlemania. They're going to want to be hyping up all his charity work and his wholesome image, so they don't want him getting asked a bunch of questions about cheating on his wife with a porn star. Factor in that most of the publicity wrestling gets is from gossip-type places like TMZ who will positively take this story and run with it.

I had forgotten about how in the attitude era wrestlers would just wear Simpsons/South Park shirts to the ring all the time. It was a really weird time.

Didn't one of The Oddities come dancing to the ring with a big stuffed Cartman on the regular too?

He's gonna have it at the very least until the end of the year, he has a beard growing contest with a MLB pitcher that the WWE has referenced on TV. The beard also suits his current gimmick perfectly, it's not like he's playing Rick "The Model" Martel, Jr.

I know about the bet. I'm still extremely skeptical they'll let him keep that poo poo on his face (without trimming it at least) throughout the full year. At the very least they'll probably try like hell to discourage him from keeping it at some point by making him a long-lost Godwinn brother or something and forcing him to wrestle in overalls.

No one is sitting behind that. The only tickets sold behind the set are in the upper deck. That's why whenever they announce a modern WWE event set a building record they are lying, they can't come close to maximum capacity due to the sets.

Some of that gets made up by the amount of floor-level seating they can put in on the field itself.

Dean Ambrose’s ring attire has become progressively sleazier, so I illustrated a predictive evolution of the changes. At this rate, he’ll take up Hunico’s mantle by next year, eventually becoming Sin Cara Escudo.

That would involve Dean spending money on ring gear and if anything he's spent less with every incarnation. It's way more likely that pretty soon he's just gonna resort to stealing Cena's merch from kids and wearing that.
