(Granted, it was an accident and nobody got injured, but ol' Mike looked like Kawada on skates for a few seconds.)

I couldn't find salaries for 1986 MLB but in 1989 it was slightly under $519k. Salaries really didn't start to rise until unrestricted free agency became the norm.

Makes the amount of money that players squabbled with owners and GMs about in Ball Four very funny in retrospect.

A bunch of hockey teams play HHH's theme right before the puck drops to begin every game. Pens did it at their game I went to in 2011 and my local team (Indiana Ice) does it too.
