I’ve just been jamming myself into every wall I find, but it seems like it might be time to take a slightly more thoughtful approach for the additional walnuts lol

I haven't tried those, but yeah. I just tossed my fishing rod into the forge when I first found it, and got Hooking by chance. Master or Preserving are probably objectively better, but it turns out the hooking bit is what I actually dislike about fishing. I actually find it relaxing now, whereas I used to see it as a chore.

Cool. Maybe I'll give it a chance if I get it then.

Congrats! The reward is just the milk though. For the Casino you must perform on a chain of relatively bizarre actions.

To start you off first look In the tunnel to the east of the bus. then find the weird power box on the north wall then Put a battery in it. then keep going.

Split into parts as you may be able to intuit the rest after an earlier step.

EDIT : For Walnuts, another thing to do is shake all the coconut trees. And head into the Volcano (which I don't recall costing more walnuts?) Some walnuts are hidden with a slight RNG behind 'normal' tasks. Like Fishing, breaking rocks, killing things, breaking boxes, digging maybe, farming.

If you think you need Walnuts to enter the volcano consider why certain things are supplied next to the entrance.

And if you're brokebrained and must have it now and cannot wait; I can wait and could sell you mine for retail+shipping+20.(but i'm shipping from the most isolated city on earth so good luck)

And I thought $90 was an expensive board game.

Totally ok if you don't want to answer, but I have to ask. Perth springs to mind, maybe? (Or if the game wasn't shipping internationally, somewhere in the Aleutians?)

Close, but wrong non-continental state, Hawaii. Maybe not "isolated" from other people, but afaik no other city (as defined as over 100k) is farther from another City.

According to this, almost twice as isolated as Perth or a place almost in the Aluetians

Is there any kind of fertilizer it is cost effective to put down when planting a full field of ancient fruit?

I'm guessing quality fertilizer is still a little useful since there's no way to keg 1500+ ancient fruit a week?

How does the timing work out? With blueberries, speed-gro gives you one extra harvest before the season ends.

Nope. Tried this with the sandfish once and it didn't count. Even waited for the pond to expand to size 2 and pulled them both out and it didn't count.

Ancient Fruit grows in 28 days and regrows in 7. Speed gro only works on the initial growth time, so any kind of speed-gro gives you 1 extra harvest. Which, at a minimum value of 550 a harvest is worth it I guess.

There are absolutely ways to keg 1500 Ancient Fruit a week, if you're willing to put kegs outside your farm.

I don't know if it's worth the effort, though. Seems like it would be pretty annoying to schedule trips to the Quarry and the Bus Tunnel and the Desert or wherever you've packed kegs to keep ahead of the surge.

Afraid not, but they're not the worst fish to catch; you'll probably catch a couple while angling for the octopus, or on Ginger Island.

My eel pond is at 10/10. How many eels can I pull out at a time? I've just been removing one and letting the pond go back to 10 before fishing again.

Spicy eel is friggin awesome. I was so surprised when it lasted like 5x as long as coffee.

Nine. For a regular Eel Pond, the only difference the number makes is how often you get Roe; reproduction rate is the same as long as there's at least one, and until you actually reset the pond, the breeding quests remain completed.

Also, Coffee's a drink and Spicy Eel's a meal, so you can get full benefits of both simultaneously, if you so desire.

That said, Triple-Shot Espresso's the way to go with Coffee if you have the recipe. Takes three cups to make, but duration is a little more than three times longer, resulting in three times less hassle maintaining speed.

If you switch over to the Agriculturalist perk temporarily and use Deluxe Speed Gro, you can get two extra harvests, and it's probably worth doing at the beginning of the year (just remember not to sell any of your Artisanal goods during that period).

What else am I supposed to do with them? I don't need anything I can trade and I'm NOT going to go to Clint and clickclickclickclick open 100+. The auto cracker is a micro management hassle to be honest. If I ever do need any I just stumble across them by the bucket load anyway, which is why they accumulated.

If you have every mineral that Omni Geodes can supply in sufficient abundance, the Desert Trader will sell Desert Warp Totems at 3 Omni Geodes apiece.

While that might not be worth it if you're spending all your time at the farm and have built a Desert Obelisk already, it could save a bit of time if you're at the Island Farm and want to go straight to the Desert.

In addition to new event dialogue this game could use some more mobility in the lives of the villagers. Some people should leave town or hook up if you don't marry them

In one Harvest Moon game I played you were racing rival romance events.

I'm still cool with Clint never making a move, but Sebastian should move out of his parent's basement after five years.

It's a fun idea for a mod, but I think there's an explicit design philosophy to have no forced timings / races. Think there's only one event that's permanently missable.

I like the idea of more things happening to evolve the town, like [Pam's upgrade, so maybe you have to pay for Sebastian to go to school for him to leave or something.

Well, if it's Fall 15, you could go to the Desert with Emily for Sandy's Birthday. Whatever Emily may think of Clint, she doesn't take off work to spend the entire day with him on Winter 26.

I wouldn't say the resulting day-long visit is exciting, but it is kind of sweet.

If you're visiting the Desert Trader, you can spend jade (Possibly jade produced by an array of Crystalariums in the desert) to buy staircases from her on Sunday, and Prismatic Shards to buy Magic Rock Candy from her on Thursday.

Funding Seb's rent in the city while he tries to get a job there would be nice. Lemme share the wealth, I have literally nothing to do with the money!

Not sure what to do with the others, though. Emily, Penny and Harvey all have steady jobs (Possibly Shane too?). Abigail's studying. Leah, Sam and Elliott are kinda getting by. Haley and Alex are layabouts. It's not like they have any big ambitions you can concretely help them with.
