New Lizzo album out. I can’t tell if she writes deliberately insipid music on purpose to appeal to the lowest common denominator or if she’s just not super clever. I think it’s the former. Either way, the horns and stuff sounded really cool!

Just posting here to say that after discovering her a few months ago my youtube mix has been pretty much taken over by Remi Wolf tracks, lol. So good. And new stuff just keeps dropping like Fired and Cake, love it!

Maybe I applied my own context to your word choice, the only context I ever see people call something “insipid” is in more vitriolic arguments about stuff like pop music. I know that’s not what you’re meaning to do. I thought About drat Time fell on the goofy side of the “goofy/dumb” line because Lizzo has enough personality to sell lines like that.
