I think there are a bunch of people who can create trailing images. I know some who could do this as if they were just going out for a stroll.

Adding on to what raditts said, The music in Origin increases in quality over the course of the game. This is actually true of most Ys games. So you go from this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LVL34JQkW6Q To this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPW_M48Welk And eventually to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c_YKDCfAa0Y

Counterpoint, I found Silent Desert to be better than most of the area songs after it (all except Beyond the Beginning). But yeah for the most part that is probably correct.

Trails in the Sky

People might want to check out the recently started LP by Cake Attack. Trails in the Sky is a great game, and I wish it and the series in general got a bit more exposure outside of Japan.

Well technically there is a PC version (and the PSP version is just a port of that), but the PSP one is the only one out in English. There have been rumors of XSeed trying to get the PC version on Steam though.

In much more important news, XSeed is teasing what appears to be Trails in the Sky SC:

I assume it's going to be on Steam, but we don't know until XSeed says something about it.

1920x1200 insta-closes in Windowed but works fine in Fullscreen, AMD card and GoG version.

So uh, can we request minor features here? Mostly I'd like the ability to map "Cancel" and "open Menu" to two different buttons, they seem to be combined to the same one at the moment.

(Also the Config tool lists the button as "Cancel/Jump" which is presumably a carryover from Ys, should probably say "Cancel/Menu" instead.)

e: Also the "Transparency" option should probably be renamed to something more descriptive, "Show characters behind buildings" or something like that.

I think you're mixing up stuff, the PSP translation was great and seems to be identical with the just released PC one. Maybe you're thinking of the older Legend of Heroes games?

For the record, the game works for me both in windowed sub-1080 and fullscreen 1080+ completely fine, just minor issues like that one where you can't use S-Breaks with a controller. I do wonder what causes the crashes.

There's a "Save Data" button in the config tool, hit that.

(It's Appdata/Roaming/Falcom/SD6 or something like that.)

Lost about an hour of progress too. :(

The game autosaves on screen transitions, so you should have a save fairly close to the crash. Page left of the 1-10 saves.

Open the config tool and hit the "Save Game Location" button or whatever it's actually called, there's a button that takes you straight to them anyway.

Wait, the chest line thing did not exist in the Japanese version and was something XSeed added for fun? That's fantastic, they really are the best.
