Fully illustrated? Can't wait. You have a serious penchant for self-harm, JWKS.

Well, the author did a pretty good job at portraying the intense awkwardness of a middle-aged man revealing his fursona. Not sure if that was intentional. This book is a pretty good candidate for the delusional anime weirdos thread.

I'm just stunned at how terrible that drawing is. The author pretty obviously traced over a photo for the face (and not very well, look at the weird eyes and nose) but there's something like 5 different vanishing points in the background. I'm not even going to touch the "Classifieds" tablet. Can't wait to see them depict a complex geometric object in 3d perspective!

That drawing is simply amazing. I'm almost convinced that every last aspect of this "novel" is an elaborate parody of itself.

Obviously Joe Biden was making a cameo here.

Is there a word for this writing style? Just blindly hammering clauses into place one after another with a reckless disregard for flow?

Someone please reassure me that rollercoaster trains can't breed.

They complement each other so well! Requesting that JWKS use thumbnail portraits to show who's talking.

I'm pretty sure Clare's dialogue was generated via Smarterchild.

This just keeps getting better and better. All we need now is the poorly-written insert of the author's best friend who is totally awesome but not quite as great as Railrunner/horse/other thing. And some ham-fisted romance.

This thread has gone from "amusing" to "hilarious trainwreck" to "somewhat creepy" now that Leek seems to have taken this whole roller coaster otherkin thing really seriously. Please don't go any deeper than is absolutely necessary, I don't want to have dreams about it.

Wouldn't Railrunner be able to use his entire flat train body to propel himself like a watersnake? That's quite a bit of surface area, I'd imagine he would be able to develop enough thrust to pull himself through anything but air (until we learn that he can fly).

Could we have a moratorium on all roller coaster pornography/erotica? Please? This novel is bad enough without knowing about the horrors that lurk beneath.

That being said, how far are we through this book? The big bad has finally been introduced, so maybe halfway? Or will Railrunner pull plot resolution powers out of his mammalian rear end and finish everything off in 2-3 more chapters?

Is it weird that it's all of the basic spelling and grammar mistakes that bother me the most about Twisted? It's just, she put this up for sale, and she didn't even have someone proof read it? Or even run it through a word processor's spellchecker?

The worst part for me is the godawful illustrations. The perspective is so poorly and schizophrenically done that it seems like she was having a go at portraying Lovecraft's non-Euclidian architecture.

At least "several rides keeping him restrained" was somewhat clever.

Bobbin's take on Amusement Park Universe reminds me a lot of Stephen King's The Regulators, with objects manifested as their platonic forms and the main characters using that to their advantage. Looking forward to more!

As much as this book and the illustrations inspire actual physical revulsion for me (seriously, stop posting roller coaster erotica), that ferris wheel is pretty badass.

I don't know whether to be happy that this book is ending, or sad that it hasn't ended yet. My days are dimmer for knowing it exists. JWKS, you took away a part of me that I can never get back.

I... I probably will do a Let's Read thread for the sequels when they come out. It's like reading the Necronomicon - you know it's very bad for you but you just can't tear your eyes away.
