quote:Certainly Exalted shouldn't 'glorify' sexual assault, but I don't think that saying "Hey, we're going to deal with some heavy topics, including sexual assault, if you're not able to deal with that you should find a different game" is really all that more demanding than saying "This game requires map combat" or "This game requires buying miniatures" or any other aspect of a game that might limit it's target audience. The fact that you WANT it to target a possibly broader audience DOES NOT mean that it SHOULD or MUST. Does that mean they might be limiting the amount of money that could be made? Possibly! Does that mean it might not be for everyone? It never was. Miniatures and map combat are equal to sexual assault. quote:Which ignores the fact that ANY and ALL design decisions are exclusionary. StoryTeller system? Exclusionary. Free form combat? Exclusionary. Charm Cascades? Exclusionary. Storyteller System=Sexual Assault Same dude, after being called on equating sexual assault to more banal things posted:You know that's terrible and all, and to the extent to which is could be done, the material should be written in a way that does it's best to not marginalize or harm those who have been victimize, in fact it should do it's best to, when it can, empower such people. But if the only solution for someone you can come up with is "Don't address these issues in any meaningful way" then I think at that point it would b better to just say the person should steer clear. Sexual Assault is empowering

I'm pretty sure the Brassiere thing was a joke/making fun of the artists who keep drawing bikini witches, considering the guy who posted it was quoting the "How to recognise a Bikini Witch" post earlier in that thread. Grog Tax from the same thread: quote:Honestly, your comments can come from a place of hope, but they are exhaustive all the same. You have a problem with the body language and stance? That is reaching for it. Deep. Regular old 'drawings of men with bulging six packs are just sexually exploitative as cheesecake drawings of women' stuff.
