The setting can be pretty interesting when it isn't mired in harem bullshit and dumb speeches. This manga even allows side characters to save the day sometimes instead of dumping everything on a certain bland protagonist.

I guess the plan for the rest of Railgun is to have it focus on the misadventures of Shokuhou since I think she is MIA for most of the other story.

Touma is more a force of nature than a character imo. He is a living deus ex machina whose entire existence is dedicated to saving damsels in distress and adding them to his absurd harem.

The new arc feels more like the filler arcs found in the second halves of the Railgun anime. I guess because a kid is involved? Just doesn't look as promising. Maybe it's just because it's coming off one of the stronger arcs thus far.
