What's the difference between Steel Panthers World at War and the WinSP games? World at War just seems like an outdated version of the WinSP games.

Doesn't the game come with no AI? You're better off just getting the WIF Vassal module and playing that instead, rather than coughing out over a hundred bucks.

In WitP, is the combat air patrol in an air squad the units assigned to defend the other planes assigned to do the main mission? Like if I were to assign a group to a mission and leave the CAP levels to 0, they would be open to attacks from enemy squads undefended? I'm having trouble understanding how the air war portion of the game is done.
