![]() What do you get when you mix an RPG with a dating sim, bad spelling, bad stereotypes and all of the Anime? This game. Sounds bad, huh? Well, to be fair it has some redeeming qualities, otherwise I wouldn't be doing this thread in the first place. But there are still a ton of trashy things in there, which will hopefully make us laugh or shake our heads. Maybe both. To be honest, this game is sort of a guilty pleasure of mine, since I enjoyed playing it like ten years ago, and still did when I rediscovered it recently. Okay, let's look at the facts. This game was made in 2001 with the RPGmaker and offers a generic JRPG plot. The good hearted and kinda clumsy hero sets out to find adventure and gets roped into saving the world. We all played that. But the twist is that this is also sort of a dating sim. See, our hero collects a flock of girls throughout the game and can build a "relationship" with each and all of them. And maxing out the different relations gives you access to the seven endings. Most of these girls are kind of stereotypes, but they're generally way more powerful than our hero. You can't fit all of them in your party, so there is actually a lot of unique content for each of them. For example, bringing certain girls to certain locations will unlock stuff for them or just bring different conversations. The whole system behind that is pretty shallow though, and it's easy to max most relationships by the halfway point of the game. I also said that this game is Anime. It's actually Anime as all hell. It's so Anime that it even has it's own Tv Tropes page. Visit that place at your own discretion! Aside from being a horrible corner of the internet, it's also full of spoilers. But I still want to share some of the tropes with you, like "Accidental Pervert", "Fantastic Racism", "A-Cup Angst" or "Ms. Fanservice". Yep. But don't get it twisted, there is no Hentai-poo poo in this thread. The dialog also deserves to be called Anime. Not mainly due to the content, but rather due to the style. The creator, only known as Flare, grabbed almost every Anime trope and mashed it together. Also the spelling is awful for the most part. The English translation is credited to RM2KFanBoy, and they did an awful job at it. I will never believe that English is their first language. Maybe if they still would have been in pre-school, but I dare to say that this was not the case. Anyway, while I won't be able to emulate all the emoticons/symbols, I'm keeping the spelling. It'll be a cold day in hell before I correct all of this text. Also, it's kinda funny. But that's enough exposition, so let's get to the meat of this thread - audience participation. There will be multiple points where you lot will vote on the girls that I should bring with me. You're mostly free, but I reserve my right to bring certain girls for important "secrets" or whatever. Ultimately, you'll also decide the canon ending for the thread. But don't worry, I'll show the rest afterwards. So choose the Anime girl of your dreams! I'm going to run this thread pretty relaxed, with no fixed schedule. Mostly because I wanna have some fun with this, and want to try something different than what I did before. One last thing though. I don't really know poo poo about Anime or Japan, and don't really give a poo poo either. Feel free to educate/correct me on the way, but don't expect me to be genuinely interested. - The Cast -![]() Ryle Laster: “Wandering Swordman of Lavas” Ryle is a typical RPG hero - A young swordsman with a severe case of wanderlust. After finishing his combat training, he wants to see the world beyond his tiny village. He's a real good guy and competent enough to solve the tasks ahead of him, though he's prone to unlucky blunders. Especially when girls are involved or when the plot demands it. ![]() Caris Burnfist: “Paladin of Burning Flame” Caris is a fighter-girl through and through. She has a brash and large personality, and displays strong emotions in a variety of situations. She brings some physical comedy into the game, and is often a pain in Ryle's rear end. On top of that, she's also greedy and somewhat demanding. The internet told me that she can be classified as "tsundere". Nevertheless, she's good at heart and helps Ryle during his journey. She will learn some of the strongest attacks in the game, but since they're mostly fire based she lacks flexibility. ![]() Orubia Aquary: “Priestess of Healing Water” Orubia is a healer and Ryle's friend since they were children. She's the most innocent and friendly member of the group, and somewhat clueless at times. She's always trying to help people and wants everyone to be happy. You get her deal, right? While she's not a real mage, priest or cleric, she still has access to the most potent healing spells. Other girls also have healing skills, but she is just the best for the job. Of course, that also means that she sucks at raw combat. But she'll learn some Holy attack magic and is the only one that gets a variety of those spells. ![]() Latyss Grynwind: “Elven Summoner” Latyss is a summoner who also has access to wind and ice magic. She's the only elf girl in the party and elves are pretty rare to begin with. I think she was one of Flare's favorite girls, as she gets a good chunk of backstory along the line. Her main character trait is being reclusive and distant, because that's how elves are. But she'll become a good friend to Ryle and will open up after you increase her attraction. Her attacks are varied and strong, so she's a good choice for most battles. Of course, she will be frail, but her later spells make up for that. Especially when she gets access to all her summons. ![]() Hayami Raienji: “White Class Shinobi” Hayami is a Ninja, and Ryle encounters her by chance. At first, she sticks with him in exchange for a favor, but it quickly becomes obvious that she knows something important and wants to follow Ryle as long as she can. Hayami is outgoing and cheerful, and is also notable for having the biggest breasts in the party. Yes, this is canon and will get pointed out multiple times. As a result of that, she is also the most sexualized girl of the group. Though, that whole angle dies down completely after she's been with you for a little while. Despite having an annoying verbal quirk, she is an overall pleasant and likeable character. Her combat skills focus on elemental group attacks, and she has a few utility skills that stay useful during several parts of the game. However, it takes a long time before she gets really powerful. ![]() Fina Delstar: “Descendant of Savior” Fina is the daughter of Flare Delstar, who saved the world and ended the war with the demons. This locks her into the position of the "Messiah" for this game. She tries really hard to stay humble though, and is constantly worried that people expect more from her than she can deliver. While she is smart, righteous, and full of courage in battle, she is also an anxiety ridden mess when the plot demands it. And her many worries are constantly brought up for most of the game. She will learn some very powerful moves through story events, and does not have to learn them via actual level-ups. But you still have to invest some time with her as she is a required member for the last stretch of the game. She is the only character that gets forced on you, so you better come to terms with her being annoying! ![]() Mariel Shells: “Gunner and Gadget” Mariel is a nerdy inventor girl. She is the master of guns, bombs and all kinds of technical gadgets. Ryle met her by chance during his investigation in Cellen, and she joined his party due to a pretty weird chain of events. "Weird" is also a good word here, because that is what Mariel's character is like. She will be easily confused, and is prone to cry for various reasons. I would say that she is retarded, but a more friendly term would probably be "a ditz". But if the game wants her to be, she will be a pretty competent fighter, just like the rest of the girls. She has a pretty useful spread of abilities, and a lot of her attacks and items are unique. She's also doomed to be the punching-bag/comic relief. The Birth of a Hot Lover Let's get this party started ![]() ![]() Of course, we'll skip nothing. ![]() yay Okay, right off the bat you can see what I meant by the writing being anime. I'd hit the emote cap pretty fast if I would try to emulate this. And gently caress inserting a bunch of little images. Anyway, this is Lucitta, a demon-girl and our introduction tool. She's also a super-secret girl hidden in the game. ![]() ![]() In true JRPG fashion, she asks us a few mysterious questions. Also, the text in brackets is a common style in this game, often indicating an inner monologue. I was under the impression that your answers slightly influence the relations to the three girls you start the game with. Since that is not important, I answered whatever I felt like. But it turns out that I was wrong, as vilkacis told me. It's no big loss though, as the rewards from the question are of minor impact. But I still list them under the choices I made. ![]() ![]() +1 Mind and Attack ![]() ![]() +1 Mind and Defence ![]() ![]() Learn Meditation, +1 HP and Defence, equip Survival Knife, Leather Armour, and Bandanna Meditation isn't the best skill to get here, but it's good enough. ![]() The text will often include the translation of a Japanese phrase in brackets. But it's pretty inconsistent and some words get used a whole lot, so I'll take some leeway with that. ![]() ![]() Skip nothing. ![]() ![]() Cue generic JRPG plot. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZQRwsECs7Y Some of this is actually important for later, but it basically boils down to - Big evil does evil things, till good savior rises and beats it. Then the world is happy and safe for ever. Or is it?! ![]() Afterwards we land on this screen. ![]() You can actually choose from three different theme songs, with mostly different animations. Go nuts if you want, but I think "Heroes" is the best. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ulwKb5WlGZs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PV3oXK_BS8g https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gqC6vql_1o Welp, after all of that we can finally get into the game! ![]() come on ![]() A small village located at northeastern part of Factoria Continent. Lavas Ville. The text highlights certain things, so I'll also do that when it makes sense. ![]() This young swordsman is Ryle Laster. He is the main hero of this game. ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah, gently caress books and go on adventures! ![]() Well, now we're in control so let's look at the basics. ![]() The game uses a pretty simple menu which I really shouldn't have to explain. It has been around since for loving ever. Ryle is pretty much your average swordfighter hero. Good damage, speed and some beef. He'll become pretty powerful, but not a real powerhouse. He starts with two skills. A buff for himself and a sword strike that also has a chance to make enemies lose a turn in combat. His gear isn't really worth mentioning, and most of the descriptions aren't funny or interesting at all. Let's take a look at that Beginners' Guide. ![]() ![]() ![]() Let's skip that first point. ![]() ![]() - The main characters other than the hero are all girls and each girl has different feelings about the hero. So it is up to the player to decide which one of them the hero will end up with. - For more information about how to enhance the relationship with the girls, please refer to the magazine, Hot Lover. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to be a horndog. Since we don't have that magazine, let's check the last point. ![]() Duh, this is basic RPG conduct. Actually, let's rummage through our own bookshelf. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() While the first item is another tutorial, the second is the only way to exactly know how all your relationships look. Real easy to miss such an important thing. I'll explain the relationship details in the second update though. For now, let's learn how to be a Hot Lover! Flipped the pages of Hot Lover to Chapter1, "Strategy on getting CHICKS". ![]() - Next, by increasing the Attraction, your relationship with that girl becomes better and she'll act more friendly and intimate. ![]() - Higher the Attraction of the girl, better the chance for you to reach an happy ending! ![]() - If the Attraction of any girl is too low, the game might be over! So be careful. ![]() I actually never had that happen. - Now, let me coach you how to reach the happy endings! ![]() ![]() I'm going to abbreviate this as it's not that funny. You'll gain attraction points for solving puzzles or finishing dungeons with the girls, or by triggering a variety of world or plot events. You can also gain single points for fighting a gazillion battles with the same girls. Attraction builds rather rapidly in some sections and there is a helpful item in the late game. So yeah, attraction is easy to gain and having all the endings open is not hard at all. Progress Events are just a fancy name for scenes that you can trigger with the girls. This often depends on location and relation, or even on items. These scenes will usually have a choice in them, and you get a neat boost from doing the right things. Honestly, there is a good deal of stuff for each girl that you can trigger during the game. I'm not going to show the things we miss though. Sorry, but I'm not insane. Also that's enough tutorial-crap for now, let's head out! ![]() Ryle's village only has three other houses and is very boring. So let's just cut to the chase. ![]() Told ya about the spelling. ![]() ![]() ![]() Get used to these loving dot responses. Also, Preshes belongs to the one Elf family in town which we'll meet later. Let's say Hi to the initial girls, only to say goodbye immediately afterwards. ![]() This house is right next to Ryle's and is the place where his master lives with his daughter. Let's steal poo poo from him. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Porn is so cool ![]() And it's actually straight porn, despite what the title may suggest. ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for those pearls of wisdom. Let's meet the first girl, I'm sure ya'll are really excited for that! ![]() Her name is Caris Burnfist. She is the only daughter of Ryle's mentor, Brad. Yep, she's seriously named "Burnfist". Because she has fire attacks, you see? ... Anyway, people familiar with the RPG maker will notice that she uses the default sprite for the female hero. But since there is a lot of original art in the game, I can forgive this. Caris is your generic fighter-girl. Strong, brash, quick-tempered and all that stuff. While she's kinda bland overall, she will have the strongest emotions/reactions towards Ryle. Also she will learn some pretty powerful attacks, but lacks flexibility since they use fire. ![]() ![]() As far as I can see the only other student is Caris, so boasting about being the best out of two is very lame. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() So here is the "gimmick" of the conversations with the girls. ![]() You have to choose between two lines. One will raise attraction and the other will decrease it or will sometimes do nothing. For the most part, the right choice is pretty obvious. There is also a hint option which usually is totally useless, or states something painfully obvious. Like in this case. ![]() Depending on which answer you choose, her feelings about you may improve or just do the opposite. Obviously, the first option is the right one. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Attraction 5 >>> 7 And this is how you make girls fall for you. By saying exactly want they want to hear. ![]() With this done, onwards to the next girl. ![]() One house down, lives the Elven family. ![]() Her name is Latyss Grynwind. She is an elf maiden and a very private person. She's named Grynwind cause elves like nature and she has windmagic, get it? Latyss shares the standard elven traits of being reclusive, intelligent and kind of cold. Like Mr. Spock. She will get some neat summon spells and becomes a pretty powerful, but frail, mage in the long run. You have to put in a bit of dedication to raise her attraction, but it's not too bad since she has her own little side-story with progression events. The other person in the room is her mother, but she's boring. ![]() ![]() Nope ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Welp, Elves are weird I guess? ![]() ![]() ![]() Jfyi, we'll meet Orubia in a moment and she's a bit special. ![]() This choice is a bit tricky, since the first one seems to be right. But it isn't. Also the hint is totally useless. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Attraction 5 >>> 7 That's Elves for ya! But honestly, Latyss will become one of the more likeable characters as the game progresses. Well, only one girl left. ![]() She lives next door with her father. It's weird how every adult in this village is a single parent. ![]() Her name is Orubia Aquary. She's been friends with Ryle since childhood. You can guess why she's named Aquary, right? Since Orubia is Ryle's childhood friend, she starts with a higher attraction and is one of the easier relationships overall. She is basically the typical shy, cute, nice and plain girl that millions of other stories have. Her deal is healing magic and she is the only character that gets access to a variety of Holy spells later on. Also, she will always say "Dear Ryle", which is a Japanese term of endearment I suppose? ![]() ![]() gently caress living on my own in this tiny village. The world is my oyster now! ![]() ![]() The right choice should be obvious. And the wrong one isn't nearly as funny as you may think. ![]() ![]() ![]() Yeah, stop horsing around. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Attraction 8 >>> 10 Well, we're done here so let's go on an adventure! ![]() ..in the next update, that is. ![]() Tin Tim fucked around with this message at 22:25 on Mar 15, 2014 |

I'm not sure what it is about games like this, but I always feel like you have to see them through to the end, if only because of how amazing the logic that went into them is. And that punctuation. Meditation: "Breathing technique to boost offense & defense." Base power 10, some variance. Vision Stance: "Boosts agility & defense by extended sense." Base power 10, slightly influenced by Mind, some variance. DKI Charge: "Boosts offense, defense, & agility by this stance." Base power 5. Shortest Solo Adventure Ever ![]() Just south of Ryle's tiny village, this signpost can be found. The general logic of this game is to do things in order of appearance. So Lailai Town is our first goal. But before we'll get to that, let's do some fighting! ![]() Ah, Slimes. Forever damned to be killed by newbie adventurers. The battle system is as simple as the menu was. It's turn based and you just punch in your orders. Though there is one neat thing about battles in this game. ![]() Each character has an animation for their standard attack, and for most of the special moves. I'll try to show the majority of them. Anyway, these Slimes are suckers and Ryle can almost kill them in one hit, while only taking like 1-2 points of damage in return. They also drop health potions so there is zero danger here. But there is another enemy in the area, and it's the most annoying thing ever. Brace yourself for ![]() ![]() This is the Dasher. He's part of a series of enemies that talk and are very wacky. I'm sure Flare thought it would be innovative to break up the usual battle formula, but he was wrong. Cause what you end up with is watching the same unfunny scenes over and over, as those guys are common encounters. ![]() ![]() Anyway, the Dasher spends his first two turns buffing his agility, before doing this... "Now, take THIS!! Dasher's "Super Ultra Move"!!" ![]() ![]() "Superrrrrrrrrr - Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaash- !!" CRASHES INTO SOMETHING "Ouch! It HURTS!!" ![]() ![]() ![]() so funny ![]() If you don't manage to kill the Dasher in time, he'll just suicide without doing any damage to you. And beating him will only safe you the annoyance of seeing the whole scene, as you'll get 1Xp and gold either way. I really hate this, and there are more enemies like him... Still, since I want some money and Xp, I have to grind a few battles here. While doing so, something happens... ![]() ![]() You can trade your Victory Points for rare items. Please talk to the gray haired man with sunglass & a red long coat. (Vash wannabe) He can be found at many towns. Let me tell you about those drat Victory Points. As the game told us, they can be exchanged for rare items. And you want to do that, as you'll get some good stuff from it later. After fighting five battles you'll gain one point, and they don't have to be in short order since the game keeps track. There is also a small chance that you'll get a lucky bonus and receive more than one point, but it's pretty rare. You're also guaranteed to get that bonus if the fifth battle is a boss, and I think bosses give some points regardless of battle count. I'll get a bit deeper on this later though. Anyway, I made some cash and a level so let's go to town. ![]() Places on the world map will have a name pop-up when you touch them. I'll show that later. ![]() "This is Lailai Town. (I know. I know, the most typical lines~)" Why aren't you laughing? It's really funny to break the fourth wall! So here's the deal - This town is the most generic tutorial-town ever. 90% of the residents tell you dumb stuff about the game that I really don't want to transcribe. And you also don't want to read it, right? Right?... Well okay, have an example of the only "good" one. ![]() "HP stands for "Hit Points", meaning how much pain & injury a person can take." "Then how about MP? Daddy?" ![]() "But I want them back! How?" "Take a good night sleep. Then you will be fine!" ![]() I mean, this one is at least a bit cute, but the rest is plain annoying. As are the conversations that don't deal with the game... ![]() ![]() ![]() Anyway, the only useful thing here are the descriptions of different status effects. They are hidden in various bookshelves in the village. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now you know! Since I got a bit of money, I also swing by the shopping area. ![]() I buy a few pieces of better armor, but skip on the general store since I already got potions from the battles. Oh, you wonder about the shopping interface? ![]() It's as simple as any other menu in this game. This is the general store, and you really only need to buy MP restore items. You'll be able to sustain yourself with party skills or treasure drops. So just stuff your girls with Jello and you're golden! ![]() In this area, I also find one of the few clues about where to go next. ![]() A mess, you say? I'll investigate that immediately! ![]() ![]() I think I know what's coming here... ![]() "Right now, dangerous incidents are happening down at Southern Cray. We limit the people crossing the bridge." ![]() "Large number of deaths occured just recently. That's all I know." Sounds like they need a hero down there. ![]() Well, the guards tell me that I also need a pass to cross the bridge, which can be gotten from the elder in Lailai town. No surprise here, right? Also, I'll often abbreviate conversations like this, when they have nothing going for them. On the way, I fight many more battles and grind some VPs since there is one more useful thing in Lailai. I already hate typing that name ![]() The Bar. Inside are more annoying conversations.. ![]() ![]() ..but also important services. ![]() Like the LOVE Counter! For a bit of cash, you can see the attraction points with each girl and also hear their most private thoughts. About you! ![]() ![]() Att > 7 ![]() Att > 10 ![]() Att > 7 ![]() These lines will change depending on the stage of the relation. But I honestly don't know about each exact threshold, so I may end up overshooting a tier and the respective line. Next up, that rear end in a top hat for the Victory Points. ![]() He'll insult you when you come here with less than 5VP. Cause that's the amount you need for his first item and he'll always insult you when can't meet his price. He has a chain of rare items and the VP cost will increase quite steadily. "Do you want to trade your 5 Victory Points with my RARE items? Hmm? What do you say?" ![]() "In that case... I'll give you THIS!" ![]() ![]() ![]() "There's only one of this in the entire world! It just feels like letting my own baby go~ And now in your hands! Lucky you man *smirk*" ![]() Now, now. It sure is a piece of poo poo, but it's somewhat useful this early on. ![]() Ryle doesn't really need much Mind and the other stats are more useful. His next item costs 10VP and I'll have to grind them up soonish. See, while his items get good, it takes a bit. And the natural progression of the game doesn't give you enough VP to stay in line with his curve. That means, I need to grind so that his trash items will have any use for me at all. VPs are kind of an issue for me in this game. The reward thingy adds some variety but it takes ages to earn them. On top of that, I'll also need VP to ensure that I have all the endings later. What I'm saying is that I'll do a lot of grinding for this LP. ![]() The last service in here is obviously the Inn. ![]() But I don't need to rest. Instead I take a stroll on the second floor. Up there, another hint about the south can be found, but also a "super cool secret". ![]() There are several orbs scattered around the world, and they allow you to watch a lol-random scene. A few of them are actually funny, but this one is not. ![]() https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfGnZSKIGEA I think it's supposed to be one large oral-sex joke?! Well, we've spent enough time mucking around. Let's get poo poo done! ![]() ![]() "Young man...it's too late now. Even if you have the pass, you can't travel alone." And so it begins... ![]() "Something terrible is happening at... Southern Cray City-!! And if you go like this, you'll get KILLED!" ![]() ![]() "No one knows who the killer is. What we know so far is that all those who travel alone, got ambushed from nowhere! And those with 2 or more people in groups, reached the city safely. So you need a travel companion at least." I kid you not when I say that this isn't just the most ham-handed justification for having a party member. There's some plot behind it later. ![]() "Usually I would just give it to you as long as two of you are going together...But a couple of days ago, I could not find any more passes in my house. So I searched it and could not find it in this town!" You didn't expect this to be easy, did you? The elder says that someone stole the box with the passes, and that somebody else found pieces of the broken lock near a shrine. Makes total sense. "Yes, the old ruin to west from here. It's called Kah Mana Shrine. Now the place is abandoned and full of monsters." ![]() "Good luck then young man! But I have a piece of advice before you go. You need 2 people in order to enter the shrine. ![]() Don't be dense. He's in the south! "No, I'm saying because there's a place in that shrine requires 2 people to open the path. I used to play there when I was a little kid...Oh the good old times-" Yadda yadda yadda, let's just get on with it! ![]() ![]() Yeah, HOW ABOUT THAT? ![]() ![]() The game has a linear main plot, this just refers to the unique content for each of the girls. Since she's closest to the entrance, let's start with Orubia. ![]() ![]() Let's check her hint. She can't come with you this time. But... Ah, dang. Well, I guess it makes sense. A ruined temple filled with monsters isn't the right place for a sweet girl that only has a bit of healing magic. However, you can still ask her... ![]() ![]() ![]() Ryle explained what happened so far ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Rude! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I like to think that Ryle strikes a dramatic pose while epic Anime music is blasting in the background. ![]() ![]() ![]() Crippled by his fear of cooties... ![]() ![]() ![]() Att 10>>>13 ![]() With her unavailable, we're left with a choice between the other two girls. Either... ![]() ![]() Hint: You can be more intimate with her by taking her. BUT you will get further apart from Latyss. Or... ![]() ![]() Hint: If you aim at her, take her with you! However, things will get tougher with. Make your choice! Please bold it so that I can easily scan the replies. The voting will be open for a couple of days. I'm out of the country for the weekend, and can realistically work on new updates sometime next week. So I'll probably close it around next Monday or so. Caris Burnfist because, come on, her last name is Burnfist.

Yeah, Caris seems like the highest comedy value right now.

Latyss She's a summoner. It's a no-brainer. This game's dialogue makes my head hurt. And we're going into a shrine to steal a literal box of plot coupons. Reach for the stars, Ryle. Seraphic Neoman fucked around with this message at 23:51 on May 14, 2013 |

Tin Tim posted:So, I've updated my Op a tiny bit. See, I did some digging in the game files and now I tend to believe that RM2KFanBoy is real and wrote all those dumb words. Some of the chars have other names in the files. For instance, Latyss is called Rathis and that sounds like the typical R>L thing these types of translations have. Also, I forgot about a certain thing at the end of the game that is very strong clue. Really, with the diferent things laid out, it would be a pretty elaborative plan for just masking spelling errors. You convinced me to dig a little further and it seems like yeah, it's real, and RM2KFanBoy made more changes than I would've given him credit for. ![]() ![]() the town layout is a little different ![]() though the HBoy magazine is just where it should be (it's just called a H [that is, ecchi] book) Actually all the dialogue and monsters appear to be (mechnically) identical up to this point so perhaps RM2KFanBoy just changed up the graphics and town layouts. And added...comedy touches to the dialogue with the translation (the welcome guy just says 'This is Lailai town' straight up)

Burnfist because, after all, the magazine is called HOT LOVER.

Man, now I feel kind of bad for the original Japanese creator. This is some of the most tortured translation I've ever seen.

Okay you can now transfer everything I said from the creator to the translator. but otherwise everything is so far pretty standard hentai/ecchi garbage.
