I'm not god but I am interested in seeing the stately Greyhound lie down/stand up. Do you have videos of this?

DarkHorse posted:Oh my goodness that's amazing, it's so near when they realize what something you're doing is for. For us it's once the dogs learned that harness = run, so it went from death device to best friend. God I love that in dogs. Apollo (not a greyhound sadly) thought his harness was evil until he realized that it means a roadtrip - either we're going to walk around town or at the park, or going to the dogpark. Now I pick it up and he sits down with barely contained excitement. Once it's on he has to rocket around a bit because YAY I love him

One of my favorite things about dogs is how you get them a nice big comfy bed and they sleep with only one paw on it or something. Weirdos. (affectionately)

Apollo LOVES to do the "apollo wuz here" thing, regardless of whether he's peed or not. If we're at the dog park he basically goes over the entire thing with a lot of kicks and is so proud of himself.

It is astonishing to me how large dogs become on beds. Opal is a greyhound and has all those legs and my pooch Apollo is not, so he’s never pushed us off the bed, but I swear to you this bed used to be a king. It’s like dogs expand in size magically on beds it’s ridiculous!

I think you already know that TODD will help himself to delicious treats regardless of where they come from. Here is my opinion of Apollo's opinion that he can eat whatever he wants:

Major Isoor posted:Also, as usual, Opal has been further refining her cutsie face, in the hopes of cajoling more treats out of us. (It works frustratingly often. I don't exclude Taz though, so he's at least happy too!) It is my official opinion that you should feel that dog, she's clearly never been fed before in her entire life, and furthermore,

I use simparica trio for Apollo and have since March and would recommend it. I find ticks in his fur but not attached (woo!) and zero fleas. e: wait this is the greyhound thread, sorry! Apollo is a gsd/husky mix maybe, not a sight hound at all.
