I think I posted it before but Hank and Dean were really stupid in Season 1. Hell they run away from home because of a huge misunderstanding. 21's incompetentence is how he accidentally kills Hank and Dean. Alot of characters were rough around the edges in season one (except Brock, because he's Brock loving Samson, and Dr.O) Probably the best episode showing how intelligent/versatile Hank is when he tries to join SPHINX SPHINX! and he owns the hell out of all their trials. Another one is the whole big reveal Dean not wanting to tell Hank they are clones because how Hank would react. What happens when Dean finally tells him? Hank rolls with it and says that's really badass and they are the best clones if they lasted this long. Shindragon fucked around with this message at 22:20 on May 9, 2018 |

I was really upset with myself that it took at least a decade for me to realize the end of season 1 is the end of Easy Rider.

For "fun," listen to the full version. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sHLxIv1Z0nY Even the ending title cards are somber versions of what we'd seen for the rest of the season (and series, at that point).

When I introduce people with that episode, I seriously time how long it takes them to laugh and judge their music knowledge accordingly.

I was already very familiar with Bowie and that particular song before I even knew this show existed. So, the musical act that this show introduced me to was... Klaus Nomi. Go and YouTube "Nomi Song" if you don't know who he is.

What a Cartoon's episode of Venture Bros is up https://podtail.com/en/podcast/what-a-cartoon/ It's basically just like reading this thread, they even make fun of the nerds who obsess over the "its about failure!" quote from years ago. Also, it made me really sad that Doc and Jackson are in their 50s. Somehow I always felt they were only slightly older than me.

Jackson Publick is 46, tho right in that Doc Hammer is 51. That does kinda check out given that they both clearly grew up in the 80s.

Its probably not needed to be said, but start from the beginning, as the Batman TAS episode is great, and it never really dips in quality, even when they're talking about shows I didn't care about (Dexters Labratory) or outright hated (Bobby's World).

Saw someone in LA yesterday wearing the grey OSI shirt. It’s been a while since I’ve seen someone in a VB shirt club shirt. Speaking of that - what are the odds on getting another shirt club for this season?
