What a great ending. And I don't think Doc is dead, check out the un-aired clips from the preview for season 5: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nC8WMvxzRis Looks like a lot of the Monarch and Rusty is in there getting some kind of dental work/torture from the Monarch.

That looks really painful, I've never seen a upper body muffin top before. Really good job with the costume and makeup though.

Dolash posted:From what I have seen of the earlier seasons, it looks like the titular Venture Brothers were hardly characters before things came to a head with the clone thing. That's part of what's discouraging me from watching the earlier seasons, I particularly like the direction of Dean's character and the confrontation he appears to be on the road toward. It used to be the Doc and Brock show, almost. And that's not a bad thing. If you're watching this show just for the plot and world building, you're making a mistake. It's a funny cartoon, go watch it in order you dope.

Aw man, now the wait begins. This season really doesn't feel like it had a complete arc as much as previous seasons did. Feels like they're leaving a lot of loose ends to tie up in S6 (whenever that will be.)

The best new OSI guy was Bum Rush, just because was an actual bum with a shopping cart. I burst out laughing when they called him out in the episode.

He is called Afterburner because of his horrible burn scars. But yeah, it would have been funnier if he was a pilot.

I was about to post how that would be a dumb idea since how much comedy can you really squeeze out of pun, but then I remembered we just had 3 seasons of Sgt. Hatred.

Okay either something is seriously wrong with my iPad, or they didn't upload the first episode of season 2 to Netflix. That one is kind of important.

I'm still not sure if that whole sequence was a hallucination and Rusty was at the rave the whole time, but it's funny either way.

Doc becomes less terrible by retconning degrees. He's come a long way since the man who butchered an orphan to make a private masturbation chamber.

I think that "clones"/"clothes" thing was intentional, they set up a lot of different red herrings in season 1, and then they ran through them all in the season 2 opener.

# ¿ Apr 22, 2014 15:15 |

I believe it's "clothes" but the subtitles aren't always transcriptions from the script. Sometimes it's just some person doing it for the network based on what they hear.

Season 1 had some really goofy faces, especially the Monarch. He almost looks like a Tex Avery toon sometimes. They kind of toned that down as he became a regular.

Rednecks/white trash tend to be blue-collar low income families, people who live in trailers and poo poo. Hank & friends are just your typical middle class suburban conservatives.

He also says something like "I think the plane is going down" while malfunctioning, and the Monarch said in season 1 or 2 that his parents died when the plane they were in crashed in the pine barrens.
