I haven't had a laptop in 5 years, and I only need one for word processing and the occasional video streaming. I'm a cheap fucker, so I do not need anything fancy.

Any quick recommendations? I tried searching for some on my own but I'm so out of the loop I'm semi-lost trying to figure out what I do and don't need.

No Apple products though, I refuse to have anything to do with that bandwagon lol

If you're doing a lot lot of typing, I'd go for the thinkpad, they have class leading keyboards. You can get a refurbished thinkpad for around $200 and will run windows or Linux no problem.
