The other day I discovered that the dog I grew up with didn't pass away in 2004 like I originally thought and is actually somehow alive and well and working at a florist  Wish I had a picture of my old pup for comparison but he'd just look exactly like this anyway.    It was hard to get a good picture of this pooch because it was so friendly and kept getting too close for pets

My friend’s dog was so beloved by her neighbors in her small Brooklyn apartment building that she has a memorial to her in the lobby and pictures of her scattered throughout the building.  I met her a few times before she went to the Bridge and can attest that she definitely deserves this memorial, just like all other dogs.

Yesterday I had the honor of meeting Duck before he left for Kansas today.  He is such a good dog. And so goofy. This is him coming back down the massive hill in the backyard:  If you say squirrel, he leaps up the hill at warp speed and runs around the top looking for a squirrel. He eventually comes back down just as fast as he goes up. I wish I could have gotten a video of it, but he is so fast! He got lots of pets and pretty sure he slept really well last night before the big car trip because we threw the ball for him for a good hour.

Unfortunately, it looks like Colby's living conditions were pretty lovely and he's got a case of the round worms. Picked him up Thursday and he vomited one up Friday night. First thing Saturday we got him to the vet and she spent about thirty minutes picking microscopic ticks off him and gave us deworming meds. Today he started hacking them up and they've been dead so presumably everything is going well. Mochi loves the poo poo out of him though :
