I met an older one today with hip problems, named Kaya, at the dog park, and she spent the entire time hanging out with her person or with me, politely asking for pets and/or shelter from Apollo and Lilac, the over-playful pups. Apollo's mine, and Lilac is a black poodle who's one year old and she wanted to PLAY and oh my god, poor Apollo, he's never been run so hard before. It got to a point where he'd come hide under the park bench (and under me) so he could catch his breath...but he'd always be lured back out, and he followed those two to the fence when they left. I didn't take pictures, sadly.

I just got the best birthday present ever. So many ferry good dogs I didnt have time to greet them all beyond a quick pat. Two more goldens, sybil and lily, a beardie collie mix named shelby, cookie, carla, frisbee, Charlie and about 20 more I didnt get to know.

Ugh, Linus got skunked this morning, the second time this year (though these are the only times he’s ever been skunked). All the more frustrating in that it wouldn’t have happened at all were I not up unusually early this morning.
